whats up with that
This book only has 86 pages on the site it says that this book has 128 whats up with that is this to political thats why there was a shortage of pages and even books someone get at me.

Read the book and I met the Man
Robert F. Williams is a man who is forgotten in most histories of The Civil Rights Movement. He talked and practiced self-defense before Malcolm X became a household name. He represented the militant leadership that was to follow him in the form of SNCC and The Black Panther Party. He correctly showed the limits of integration and why everyone could not turn the other cheek.A must buy book.

What your history teacher didn't tell you
This is a raw, powerful book about an aspect of the Civil Rights movement that your history teacher was not likely to have told you. Contrary to popular belief, the Civil Rights movement was not all about Dr. King and nonviolence (with all due respect). Robert Williams preached and practiced armed self-defense against the powers that be. Read his story and learn. It will shock and inspire you (this book also inspired Huey Newton and the Black Panther movement). For more about this unsung hero, read Timothy Tyson's "Radio Free Dixie."

BLESS THIS HOUSE
Best advise within the pages of this small book for the newly wed. Forget the wedding card. Replace with this book.

A book full of blessings for a new home.
BLESS THIS HOUSE was given to our family for Christmas one month after we had moved into our new house. Construction of the house consisted of the usual problems and set-backs. When I read this book, it reminded me of all the reasons we built our own home with our own hands. This book makes a perfect gift for a christian family with small children who just completed construction of a new home. It only takes about 5 minutes to read but have at least 2 tissues on hand!

Yes, it is a great book!
I've had this book for over four years, but didn't get around to reading it until just three days ago. I was out of town and it was great for the plane ride, kept you hooked the whole time. A book that show's how manipulating and controling some men can be, and how some of us women can give into it so easily just for the love of a good man.

Gloria Murphy has to be one of the BEST mystery writers out there. My first book by her was Shadow On The Stair, I followed that with Down Will Come Baby, Simon Says and now this. I'm upset that I cannot order the books by her that I do not own and hope that some day I will, because no writer has ever hooked me the way she does. I hope she keeps it up and finds something knew to reel me in with!

the best book ever
This book was great. I read it a really long time ago, but i just remember how much i loved it. I finished this book in just one day. Emily was crazy and definatly had a lot of issues to work out, but she was a great character. If i remember correctly i think she lit the therapists office on fire. she was crazy, but the book was so interesting, and exciting, you just want to keep on reading to find out what is going to happen next. I think everyone should read this book, its magnificent.

A top Internet home repair reference for everyone!
FREE STUFF FOR HOME REPAIR ON THE INTERNET is the latest and... for the home repair buff... perhaps the greatest addition to Heim & Hansen's "Free Stuff" series.    The strength of this book lies in both its organization and in its great web links. They don't make the assumption that their readers are computer geeks, so the book begins with a short-but-sweet primer on how to access web pages, basic use of the web browser and how to understand a websites address, or "url". This alone is worth the price of the book for the befuddled neophyte... especially on sites that frequently change their page addresses!

The meat of the book... home repair web links... is well organized and divided up into 22 categories, including how to hire a contractor, roof and gutter repair, do-it-yourself TV show websites and even electrical and plumbing advice. Each section covers the best of the best... no mean task considering that a web search on any home repair topic can yield millions of useless, unrelated pages!

All in all, this book is the best of the genre and will save the surfer hours of useless searching for the best in home repair.

Secrets in the House of Delgado
This young adult novel plops the reader into Spain of 1492: not the Spain of Columbus and his travels to the Americas, sponsored by the King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, but the Spain of the Inquisition. One experiences the Spain that drove out the Moors and mandated conversion to Catholicism by all Jews who chose to remain. Maria, a fourteen-year-old orphaned, peasant girl, gains employment in the home of wealthy Conversos (Jews who converted to Catholicism) via the intervention of a priest. He mentions that she must look for signs of heresy; she readily agrees hoping for a roof over her head and, perhaps, even a welcoming home. Built into the plot are accurate historical descriptions of daily life and background explanations outlining the complicated history of the Jews in Spain. Maria has some personal and ethical decisions to make and the reader, too, becomes swept up in the conflict, ironically similar to issues of religious tolerance debated today. Though at times the characters need more development, and the plot is predictable, I found the novel made history feel real. It would be a great addition to a humanities class studying anything from the Crusades, the "discovery" of America, Spain and the Inquistion or the history of religious conflict.

One girl's difficult choice during the Spanish Inquisition.
The year is 1492, the place is Spain, and fourteen-year-old Maria is on her own. Her parents and little brother are dead. She hasn't seen her only living relative, her uncle, who is a sea captain, in years. Desperate, she goes to the church her family attended to ask for help. The church helps her to get a position as a maid to a wealthy family, the Delgados. The Delgados are Conversos. They are Catholic now, but in the past, the family was Jewish. The church has placed her in the Delgado home as nothing more than a spy to find out if the family is secretly practicing their old religion. At first Maria is repulsed by the idea of working for a family that was once Jewish, but she comes to see that the Jews are not the evil villains the church has portrayed them as. When suspicion of heresy falls on the Delgados, she is forced to make a difficult choice. I highly reccomend this well-written and fascinating historical novel.

Good introduction to SW style
Good basic text for the beginning woodworker. The projects are simple, the drawings are clear. The author only briefly touches on woodworking techniques, though, so the complete beginner will need to go to some other source. As a professional woodworker, I have used many of the projects in this book as a starting point for my own Southwestern and rustic furniture.
