This is a book you can't miss out on
I have just finished reading the falcons malteser. It was so good. I normally don't like reading...actually I hate it but this was an aception. You just have to read it!

A great book worthy of more than 5 stars
This book is one of the few i have read which has a decent plot in it. You dont know who did what, who is who and what does what until the final showdown at the end.I was pleased to hear that it has 2 sequels and has been made in to a film. Anyone who doesn't like it must be out of their mind!!!!!

A great Chrissie or birthday present!
This is a fantastic read for kids (and adults) from about 9 up. The plot is full of fast, far-fetched action, jokes and surprises. The style is based on the thirties/forties style American gangster, detective movies, so a complete appreciation of the themes and puns will be understood by those who are familiar with this. It is one of those books that you can't put down, good for sheer fun, escape and relaxation. A pity it is out of print.

An excellent collection of classic stories for 9-14
A lot of classical myths are hard to read and stiff in their telling. These versions are told in modern prose with a sense of humour, without losing the spirit of the original tales. Some schools in New Zealand use this as one of their English texts at about 9th grade level, and it is very popular with kids and teachers. It's a well-thumbed book on our home bookshelf, returned to again and again. Recommended.

Stormbreaker
The book Stormbreaker was written by Anthony Horowitz. This book was one of the best books I've ever read! Its about a boy named Alex Rider who lived with his Uncle Ian Rider because his parents died. Alex and his Uncle used to have fun together since they were all each other had. One day Alex's Uncle died from what they said was a car crash. Alex knew this was not true when he found bullet holes in his Uncle's car. To find out what really killed Ian Rider read Stormbreaker.

Review For the Great Book Stormbreaker
The book I am reviewing is Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz. My favorite character is Alex Rider. The story takes place in London. In this story Alex Rider tries to find out who killed his uncle, Uncle Ian Rider and how. Alex is sent by M16, the group his uncle worked for, to get the Stormbreaker computers. Alex Rider has trouble and has to go through many obstacles to achieve his goal. I would definitely recommend this book to you or a friend.

Stormbreaker
...Do you have a sweet tooth for action packed adventure books? Do you have a craving for that one good book you've been waiting for? Stormbreaker is the book for you.

One rainy night in Chelsea, England, at the residence of Ian Rider and his nephew Alex, two Bobbies, British policeman, rapped sharply at the door. It was three a.m. Ian was away on a supposed business trip for the bank that he supposedly worked for. Alex was the only one home. The Bobbies told Alex that his uncle had gotten into a car accident and had died because he wasn't wearing his seat belt. Alex automatically knew that they were lying, so he started to investigate his death. Along the way, the bank that Ian had allegedly worked for called Alex and said they wanted to meet him. They wanted to send him into Port Tallon and take out a top-secret terrorist act taking place at a world-renowned computer company. Alex took it, went to Port Tallon, and went through with the mission.

As Alex went along in his mission, he encounters countless dangers and has almost died. Will Alex complete the mission and save all of England? You'll have to read the book to find out.

We give Stormbreaker five stars out of five. It was one of the best books that we've ever read. The action of Tom Clancy is mixed with the suspense and mystery of Dean Koontz, to form a brilliant masterpiece that hooks you right away. This is a great book and we recommend it to anybody and everybody. Anybody who likes action is sure to love this book.

Somewhat complex good plot and great action
As usual, great action and suspense. Better plot that makes more sense. And it makes more sense for them using Alex Rider this time. The ending is somewhat unsatisfying, but I'll tell you this much. Alex might have found romance. Alex kind of seems like he's corrupted in the end, in a way...a mild mild way. And you also learn to hate Alan Blunt if you haven't already. What lesson does it contain? NEVER JOIN CIA OR ANY OTHER SECRET SERVICE! Lolzers. Jk jk. But this book is probably the best of them all!

The best book in a brilliant series...
Skeleton Key, the sequel to Stormbreaker and Point Blanc, is surely the best book in this gripping trilogy.

Just a month after his previous adventure at an exclusive school in the French Alps, sixteen-year-old Alex Rider is attempting to return to a normal life in London. But this is a wish quickly forgotten as an M16 agent recruits him for a mission during a school soccer game.
He is soon over in the USA, and taking on the role of the son of two up-tight and by-the-book CIA officers.

Together, they must infiltrate the home of an ex-Russian army commander. Trouble is, his house is an island in Cuba and Americans aren't exactly welcome in that part of the world.

Armed with some outrageous and extremely useful gadgets disguised as toys, Rider must soon try to win the trust of the Russian on his own, but finds himself in a seemingly losing battle against the rich and powerful man.

Alex discovers the Russian's deadly plot to detonate several nuclear warheads and take over the world, and does everything in his power to stop it.

A terrific book, that will having you struggle to put it down as you dive into the world of international spies, crazy army men and truely gripping suspense.

I gave this book 5 stars, and it deserves 6, so read it now and find out why!

Amazing once again!
I orginally bought this book off of amazon.co.uk.com because its a british book and it came out sooner in england. I was sooooo amazed at how anthony horowitz once again, captures so much action in one book! I absolutlely LOVE this series because its so enjoyable to read and also because it never gets boring! I'm a girl and although this book would probably seem more apealing to guys, i would HIGHLY suggest this book and the rest of its series to any girl out there! If you want to read this book i would recomend reading the first two first (stormbreaker, point blank/blanc)

Stormbreaker: Just Read It
Now this book is impressive. Stormbreaker is an adventure about a kid in London that winds up being hired as a spy to complete his uncle's last mission-The uncle died in a car accident before finishing it. But after a visit to the "heaven for cars," Alex knows it was no accident. But I can't reveal too much because after reading this, you're probably going to head to amazon.com's book section and buy a copy! But really, Stormbreaker has many limitations. Consider reading it only if you like extreme, non-stop action books. If you do, then you really should read at least the first page. Oh, and if you do read it, then read the sneak preview at the back, so you can get hypnotized by the sequel, Point Blank.
Stormbreaker has what I call an air of mystery, which means it doesn't tell you a reason for everything, especially in the early chapters. Think of this book as a kid breaking into the new James Bond museum, but getting lost in the daycare section.(does that place even have a daycare section?)

Stormbreaker:An Alex Rider Adventure
"When the doorbell rings at three in the morning its never good news."Alex Rider the main character of this book woke up in the morning only to hear that his Uncle Ian Rider had died in a car accident. But fourteen year old knows its a lie.The bullet holes in his Uncle's car proves it.Soon Alex finds out his uncle was a spy!!He worked for M16-Brittain's top-secret intelligence agency. After finding out his Uncle was a spy,Alex gets recruited to finish his Uncle's last mission,to find out about Herod Sayle's latest project the Stormbreaker. The agency was a bit suspicious about him. I enjoyed this book.I liked it because it has a cool plot.I recomend this book to anyone who likes lots of action.

Adventure Packed
This book kept me on my toes the entire time. It was action packed and suspense filled. I loved every minute of it. The basic story line is that Alex's Uncle Ian died in a car accident. Or so Alex is told. Alex knows better, and finds that his uncle was a spy! Alex goes to finish his uncle's final mission, and finds himself in great danger. Read the book to find out the rest. This was one of the best books I've ever read, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

Point Blank
This is a great book if you love adventure. In Point Blank 14-year-old Alex Rider is a top secret agent who works for the M16. He has been chosen to go investigate Point Blank. He is given top-secret weapons like earrings that if you put them together they make a bomb. He is going to stay at Sir David's house so he can go to Point Blank because the tuition for Point Blank is $15,000. Point Blank is where teenagers with behavior problems go. While at Point Blank Alex discovers that they take the richest boys from the richest families and make clones of them. Alex escapes on a snowboard that is really ironing board with two people that are on snowmobiles that have machine guns. Lucky Alex escapes. Point Blank is a great action adventure book. It can take a fast reader about an hour and a half to finish If you read this book I think you will like it.

Point Blank
...Point Blank was a good book. It's one of the best books I have ever read. Anthony Horowitz made a good sequel to this book called Stormbreakers. When I saw the cover of this book I thought that there would be alot of action. I was right! This book is my favorite book. He always has a different personality for every character. Alex, the main character, has all different sort of attitudes...

Point Blank
Point Blank is about a fourteen year old boy named Alex Rider trying to stop a mad man (Dr.Grief)who clones himself in the form of fourteen-year-old rich boys. My favorite part is when Alex used an ieoning board as a snow board to slide down the mountain, to escape from almost being dissected. I like Point Blank because once youstart you can't stop. It's so action packed; it will keep you guessing. The theme os about a boy named Alex who is a secrete agent that workes for MI6. And is sent on dangerous missions. I bet you'll love it.

The Silver Citadel

Average review score:

The weakest entry (and not surprisingly, the last)
Having read and enjoyed the first two books, I hunted down a copy of this one, and was terribly disappointed.

It reads very much as if someone else wrote it from Horowitz's outline, contradicts various elements from the first two books, doesn't have the humor, and is fairly flat. As a stand-alone book, it would be all right, but it doesn't mesh at all with the first two books in its series.

Pentagram series
I first read the devils door bell 15yrs ago and i was hooked, i am still looking for the last 2 books in the series. Does any one know what they are called? No body knows here.
This was my first book that got me into reading, even at 25yrs i still want to know what happend. the first 3 books are not available in the local librarys here,(only available at schools, and i defiantly recomend it at any age) we have to order them, so iam still waiting for them, i just cant wait.
Some body please mail me to update me on the next 2 books.
thanks

The 4th book
I can't really add anything to the previous comments, these books are TERRIFIC!!! I've read the first four books of the Pentagram series about six times when I was a kid, and the finding of the fifth book still haunts me!! So maybe I can help those who haven't had the chance to be frightened by the 4th book. It's caled "The Day Of The Dragon" and was first published in 1990 by Methuen Children's Book Ltd, London. In the first part of the book we see Martin Hopkins and Richard Cole again, the second part introduces the fifth boy, Will Tller. The story is mostly situated in Hong Kong and Kowloon, but it's been 4 years now since I've last read it so that's pretty much what I remember now. Except for the fact that these books were really really thrilling of course. A must-read series for EVERYONE!!!
And if anyone knows anything about the fifth book, PLEASE let me know!
