This is a book that is compiled mostly of interviews of actual veterans. The book talks about World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. It includes pictures of the veterans interviewed. Religious experiences are included which is very interesting when put in counterpoint to the cruelties of war. The veterans were very honest about both the positive and negative experiences they had. There are many different experiences talked about including POW camps, killing, being wounded, etc. This book made my gratitude for all veterans skyrocket. They don't get much credit for the horrific experiences they went through and some of the terrible things they had to do. If everyone had to read this book, I would think war would not occur.
