CAPTURES YOUR HEART AND SOUL...
This is a book that will capture your heart and soul. I spent nights crying for Otto, and often wanted to put the book down, but found that I couldn't until I saw him through to the end. His ultimate successes were a real tribute to the strength that can be found within the human soul. This book is spiritual and inspiring and will not leave you.

Otto, the Boy at the Window
I could not put this book down I wanted to find the author as a
little boy and even now as a vulnerable adult and hug him and congratulate him that he managed to survive mostly intact through
a very harrowing childhood and for many years an extremely lonely
adulthood.

This book was written after the author's mother passed on. All
of the memories of a traumatic childhood growing up in Vienna,
Austria w/ the threat of Hitler and his domineering mother came
flooding back and are told beautifully in this sad but inspiring book. It was wonderful.

Not a book you can put down.
I found this a fascinating, informative and enlightening book. It would make a great Christmas/Hanukkah gift because of its' originality and intelligibility.

The Last Avengers Story
Published in Paperback by Marvel Books (1996)
Authors: Peter David, Ariel Olivetti, Mark Gruenwald, and Matt Hicks
Amazon base price: $12.95
Average review score:

SPOILER ALERT!!!
Don't read this review unless you've read this tpb already! This was an excellent story about a possible future of the Avengers. Although the art is great and the plot dramatic (dramatic in a good way), some of the scenes were predictable (the last page for instance). This is all made up for though with the explanation of the Hulk's death, as well as Kang's death (even though he probably wouldn't have really died due to the device he uses [read Avenger's Forever TPB]).
The whole Ultron in charge thing was good, as was the blood and tragedy thing of a certain brother and sister. My only problem with this story: Where is Iron Man? Still, 5 stars for dropping that bomb on Avengers HQ.

One of the Best "Future" Stories I have read
Much better than any of the X-Men future stories. Peter David is unquestionably one of the best mainstream writers going and has been for some time.

This is a dark and gritty story and people die, It is somewhat related to "Earth X" in the way people have changed but this version of the future is darker and easier to get a handle on. Highest rating.

superb alternate avengers story.
one of the greatest avengers stories of all time.set in a "what if?" type of story.this rotates around the avengers of the future and their last stand. a great read.

Must Read Book!!
Being a health care executive, I feel I am fairly qualified to write a review on health care books. This book was very impressive, and I especially liked hearing what other executives of health care companies think about the future of the industry. I have read too many business books by unknown authors-this was finally one with some insight from people in industry. I highly recommend this book to any one interested in health care or in the health care industry.

an enormously important collection of essays
This collection is a must for all students of the Renaissance, covering as it does a vital set of texts whose influence on the course of western architecture was profound. This book not only explains the treatise tradition, but throws new light on many of the principles which shaped Renaissance architecture, from the work of Alberti through to Scamozzi. The editors, who provided the wonderful translation of Sebastiano Serlio (also published by Yale), have done a great job!

A remarkable Italian Renaissance architecture book.
This first ever translation in English from the original Italian is accompanied plates from Serlio's first editions. Thus it brings for the first time originals of Serlio's remarkable oeuvre to attention of the modern era. Through these five books Serlio had an enormous influence on the Renaissance and Baroque architecture of Northern Europe and the translators Hart and Hicks really bring this most self-effacing of Italian renaissance architects to life. A must for all those fascinated by the Italian renaissance!

An informative book that gives basic knowledge on Napoleon
A very informative book, Napoleon: The Final Verdict, describes all aspects of Napoleon's military career. Although it lacked extensive details on individual battles, it gave basic knowledge necesary to understand the Napoleonic Wars. The book is divided into two sections. The First section gives the knowledge obtained on his life. The second section analyzes the information given in the first to help you determine Napoleon's true quality. I especially like the pages of quotes which the author has included in the back of the book.

Peter Potts
I was going to toss this 1971 book, until I read the first page. Peter has a talent for getting into trouble, by accident, according to him. His intentions are good, but things don't always work out the way he planned. Lots of fun, humor, and "oh, nos" in this book!
