This book is fresh air to someone like myself who has read at least a dozen Windows 2000 books. I get the impression that a lot of the Windows 2000 books were written by people who write books and don't work with the technology. This book doesn't fall into that class. It was great to read this book, because it renewed my faith that a tech book could be written in a way that doesn't put me to sleep.

They cover Windows 2000 TCP/IP from top to bottom. WINS, DNS, DHCP, RRAS, IIS, routing and network devices. Its all there, and its filled with little known factoids that makes me want to keep reading and have another "aha!" experience.

This book also was the major reason I passed the Microsoft 216 exam so easily. Although I didn't buy it to pass the exam, they seem to cover all the material that the exam covered. A nice bonus. I wish they made the book longer, because I'm sure they could have said a lot more that I would like to read about.

This book isn't for beginners, but neither is Windows 2000. I think once the reader is ready to manage Windows 2000, they'll be ready to get the most out of this exceptional book.

This book is good. I am studying for the 70-216 and 70-221 Microsoft Exam to update my MCSE to Windows 2000 MCSE. There is no Microsoft Book now for these tests so I got this one. Not only did I really learn TCP/IP for the first time (I thought I understood TCP/IP and how it worked before), but I know now how so different Windows 2000 TCP/IP is from Windows NT TCP/IP. They are not the same! Only book I ever read that showed me how to design WINS and DNS solutions in real world. MSPRESS books did not show me that for Windows NT! This is a good book and I liked it a lot.

I took the Microsoft exam 70-216 for network infrastructure today and all I can say is AMAZING! How did the writers know what was on the exam? There is so much obscure stuff on the exam that no other book I read covered the questons on the exam. But this one did. So much of the test was troubleshooting the network, so I guess a TCP/IP troubleshooting book would be the right one. But the similarity of this book to the test is amazing.

This book was good to read too and I am using it at my job and fixing some of the problems we've had with WINS and VPN based on what I learned. Great book and best study guide for the test.

An excellent book on the mysterious fibromyalgia syndrome. Unless you've felt the deep muscle pain and unending fatigue, you have no idea how FMS can rob you of life. This book addresses the symptoms you might feel, possible causes (there are no "proven" causes), medical tests that can help your doctor narrow down the diagnosis (there are no medical tests to determine FMS), and a 7-step program to get relief. The program consists of a combination of therapies including complementary and alternative medical (CAM) therapies, medications, stress management, exercise, ways to increase healing sleep and more.

Having FMS for seven years, I'm always skeptical of the latest health books, but The Fibromyalgia Handbook is scientifically substantiated and extremely practical and rational--the program is something you can implement in your daily life without adding to your stress load.

Buy the book. Give it to a friend with FMS. It is a superb read that can increase relief of pain, fatigue, anxiety and other annoying symptoms.

Superb read!! The book is an excellent resource for men and women with fibromyalgia syndrome and FINALLY, this doctor takes it seriously. Not only does the book evaluate the best medications for FMS, but it gives complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies that can ease pain and fatigue without the debilitating side effects of pain meds. I was doubtful at first--as to whether one more book could answer my questions--and ease my symptoms. But once I began the 7-step program--which is basically a lifestyle program--my symptoms subsided greatly. I've read four other books on FMS--this book far surpasses the others and gives new hope to sufferers. The suggestions for alleviating fibro-fog were incredible!! And--I esp. liked the ways to de-stress BEFORE symptoms became unbearable (as my FMS symptoms often coincide with chronic stress).
Buy this book!! If you know of someone with FMS, buy it for them. It's truly a gift of love and hope.

I live in Georgia and pollen season normally makes me dependent on my inhaler. I read BREATHE RIGHT NOW and started the new medication, Accolate, as described in the book. Super book! Easy to understand. Chapters on allergy, asthma, sinusitis, rhinitis, and lung disease. Great information on medications and how they work--but understandable, not over the head of the reader. Also enjoyed the alternative medicine chapter and understanding how stress affects breathing. This book helped me get back in control with my chronic allergies. I've learned WHEN to take medication and how they will work to stop swelling and mucus production. AWESOME.

Couldn't breathe. Bought this book. Showed my doctor who changed all my medications. That was six months ago. TODAY? I BREATHE so well that I'm training for the NY marathon. It's hard for me to believe that getting the RIGHT medication can be crucial for allergy and asthma. But I'm a believer.

Numerous other publications exist for those who regard innovation as merely a prestigious activity, not to be mixed with the "real" work of running an organization. Super Aspirins! They are amazing. After reading Dr. McIlwain's Fibromyalgia Handbook, I heard about this new book. So, I read the Super Aspirin Cure for Arthritis--I was curious how anyone could hold up another ARTHRITIS CURE! My 2-year-old absolutely loves this book. He can't get enough of it. Fortunately, it's a nice story so I don't mind reading it 15 times a day.

My two year old son absolutely loves this story. The cute rhyme-style keeps his attention...and the colorful, detailed pictures keep him pointing and talking for quite some time. We particularly like all of the colorful characters who enter the taxi...this book is a real winner in our home.

As a children's librarian, I always picked this book up first during storyhour. Here is a hint! I use a dog puppet to tell the story for me! Then each child can meet and greet the puppet after the reading is over. Very interactive. Try to talk to kids about being kind to animals after you read this one - it will make them really listen to your message.

The Ganz twins were able to capture all the different feelings that twins feel - from a special oneness to feelings of jealousy - and they did it beautifully. Finally there is a book out there just for us (the twins of the world) about us. And, best of all, it was written by twins!

I am an identical twin girl. I have gotten this book to see of what others twins there are and to enjoy being a twin and reading it with my twin together. I loved the photographs they are just ingenious.

My daughter brought this book home with her (Florida) from New York. She knew my secretary had twin boys and that a college age set of twin girls worked in my office. I brought the book in to work. It was an immediate success with everyone, not just the twins. I figure it will be a great holiday gift for anyone with a "twins" connection. The pictures are Life Magazine caliber. Great stories too. A winner in every respect.

Not to pan the book entirely: it's an easy read and offers hope as well as some helpful information - but I have two issues.

First, there are innumerable references to products which provide profit for the "Medical Editor", Dr. Murray Grossan. I'm a user of one of his products, and I'd endorse it too - but not under the guise of an medical self-help book.

The second item that makes me wonder about the expertise of the author ("A long time sinus sufferer"). Opposite the title page are some of the other titles from the author - "The Super Aspirin Cure for Arthritis". "Super Calcium Counter...". "The Osteoporosis Cure". "The Fibromyagia Handbook". Can "The Tao of Ephedra" be far away?

The book is worth a read. But if you're deciding between it and other well-rated volumes - I'd look elsewhere.

Thank you for this book. Finally, after years of mouth breathing because of constant congestion, I can breathe through my nose again (something most people take for granted). The book was extremely well written and easy to read. I'd recommend to anyone who has allergies, sinusitis, rhinitis or other respiratory problems. It gives you HOPE!!

This is VERY IRONIC!!! I just heard the author Debra Bruce on the radio in Atlanta, Georgia this morning. A friend gave me her book three weeks ago and I read it--cover to cover. An interesting and easy read. This was BEFORE tree pollen season hit the South. I used the techniques suggested in the book--the nasal saline irrigation, avoiding iced drinks, avoiding key pollen times, and a nasal steroid spray. I changed my medication to a decongestant/antihistamine combo. For the FIRST time in my life--I have MY LIFE. It's super. I'm not a shut-in anymore. Thank you for a very credible book. A must read for ANYONE with sinusitis.

Full of a sense of adventure, love, and destiny; this book is amazing. It was a real page turner, and once you start you won't ever put it down. It's possible to read the book 20 times and find something new EVERY SINGLE time.

Knights Wyrd is very exciting. It catches the readers attention at every moment. Your eyes will never venture away from the pages. If you have children, I reccomend this book as a gift. When I read this book, I had to read at least 3 chapters at a time, before something even slightly boring happened. The reader left out all of the boring areas, and kept the exciting parts. The only flaw is that the book is a little too short for fast readers.

Teachers and librarians, delighted with the surge of reading that Rowling's Harry Potter books have engendered, are busy compiling lists for children who ask "What next?" KNIGHT'S WYRD is high on my "What next?" list. Superbly written, this fast-paced action story contains beauty, insight, and (unlike far too many quasi-medieval books nowdays) a glimpse into how medieval people really saw the world.

I recommend this book for all budding fantasy readers--or for any reader who wants a good book.
