Loved It!
Our last contact we had with Kerry Everett was in her sister's story, "The Keys To My Heart" in the anthology A VERY SPECIAL LOVE.

Janice Sims now brings us This Time Forever, featuring as the heroine, Kerry Everett, Police Chief of Damascus, Florida; and the hero, Maceo "Mac" Kent, FBI agent and ex-Marine Drill Sgt.

PAST: Kerry and Mac have a past together from their days as marines. When they last saw each other, both made a decision to go pursue their own careers. But both leaving with broken hearts.

PRESENT: Kerry has a murder incident that occurs in Damascus. There are similiar signs about this murder that resembles an FBI case that brings Mac to Florida. Now it's been ten (10) years since they last saw one another. They meet once again, on page 80 to be exact. You will begin to feel throughout the story that love has not died between Kerry and Mac.

COMMENTS: I always look for certain things as I begin reading a romance book. For example,

(1) The pace of the story, how easily it flows for me personally. I don't want a book I have to keep taking deep breaths as to whether I have patience to keep reading it or throw it across the room.

(2) Now this is important to me, I want the author to at least introduce the hero and heroine within the first 100 pages of the story. I should not have to wait for over half of the book for them to make some kind of contact. I also want the plot to include the heroine and hero utilizing at least 60% of the book.

(3) The overall plot has to be interesting enough for me to find it difficult to put the book down so I can get some sleep at night.

Summary: Janice Sims has presented the answers to all my probing questions. The pace of the story itself was an easy flow that I kept turning the pages. It was like one of those all-nighter books that you want to stretch out for another day, so you can enjoy longer. She has the heroine and hero being together at least 60% of the book, which made me very happy!

I enjoy those stories where the hero and heroine are reuniting. In this story, the author does not allow the heroine to be angry with the hero about the past to the point you want to slap her for whining throughtout most of the entire book before they make some connection. You don't find that in this book, I mean Kerry and Mac actually communicate with one another and not only discuss the past and its affects but the present.

For those of us who were fortunate to get a peek at Kerry in her sister's story, Kerry is not short on words. So I like her type of personality. Kerry and Mac knew each other so well, you could actually visualize seeing this couple.

So in concluding my review here, I strongly recommend that you read this wonderful story. You won't be disappointed and your money will be wisely spent.

I also encourage you to check out her other published books:
Affair of the Heart, All The Right Reasons, Out of the Blue, For Keeps, A Bittersweet Love, A Second Chance At Love.

Her short stories in Anthology Collections:
"To Love Again" from Love Letters
"The Keys To My Heart" from A Very Special Love (Kianna Everett's story)

JANICE SIMS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!
You know when you were a child and you would wait for something good, like your birthday present or Christmas to come? Well, that's what I was doing while waiting for the sequel to "The Keys to My Heart" that's were we first met Kerry Everett.

Now like when I was a child, I got just what I wanted for my birthday or Christmas present! That's right a book that once you start reading it you got to finish it. No matter if you got to go to work in the morning or now.

Kerry and Mac's story is just has wonderful as I knew it would be. Kerry and Mac are made for each other a fact they knew when the met years ago. The only thing is that they were to prideful to admit it to one another. So, you have the making of a really good reunion story, along with a little murdered and mystery and throw in a little humor you got yourself "This Time Forever."

If you read "The Keys to My Heart" you'll be happy to know that Kianna and Gabriel and Coco are in "This Time Forever." Now for those of you who haven't read "The Keys to my Heart" I suggest you read it first and then read "This Time Forever," this way you can get the full impact of these wonderful stories.

Janice keep writing these wonderful stories and I'll keep reading them.

Extremely useful information.
This book is filled with excellent information. The one minute to better posture produced very quick results. When I changed my workstation as specified in this book, my neck stopped hurting. The tips for adjusting car seat, a life saver. I thought my poor posture was hopeless but the info and exercises in this book really delivered. The best $12 bucks I've ever spent. I highly recommend this book. I saw the author on the Oprah Winfrey show and was very impressed.

Posture, Get It Straight
I found this book to be very informative. I have also have the video from the author and find it extremely helpful. I thought I would share the info with all readers. I wrote to the author at JaniceNovak @aol.com and purchased the video through her toll-free 1-800-756-7934. I'm glad I did the reseach. The video is very easy to follow. Thanks, Janice.

I had immediate results!
Chronic back pain has kept me from getting a good night's sleep. I didn't know what to do about it until I read Janice Novak's book. After my first time trying the exercies I felt my back getting stronger. I like doing the exercises because I always feel better afterwards. "Posture, Get It Straight" is well-writen and the exercises are easy to follow. I recommend it to anyone who has back pain.

You, Too, Can Be a Hogwarts Student
... Or at least pretend to be! (NOTE: This is not a Harry Potter book, although it's certainly riding his "robe-tails.")

Not only does this book have some really neat and practical projects (container herb garden), but also has some pretty icky, kids-love-it projects like a terrarium for carnivorus plants and a mold garden. You can make your own wizard's robe, invisible ink (that you can use with your newly-made quill pen), and sew your own journal. The recipes include gumdrops, rock candy, and homemade slime (!). There's bits of history and folklore in it, too, just in case you get tired of making all this great stuff and want to read a while.

The illustrations are wonderful, the writing is engaging, and it has a ribbon bookmark (okay, it may be a silly thing to mention, but I love ribbon bookmarks). This is a very entertaining book. Many of the projects would lend themselves nicely to a theme party, and there are a few suggestions for that, too. Your Harry fan will have a *blast* with the ideas in this book. I can't wait to some of them with my own little HP fan...

Not just for kids, either!
I'm 28 years old. I have no children. I don't even have any small children anywhere in my immediate family. And here I am, buying and writing a gushing torrent of praise for a children's book.

This is the best book in the whole world. No, really. Okay, except maybe the proper Harry Potter books, but. It's still a darn fine book.

The crystal ball lamp is really what I'm itching to make. Meanwhile, I've been busying myself with churning out wizard money, rings, and baby unicorn horns to dole out to Potter-loving friends. And you bet I'm going to try the Every Flavor Be--ah, I mean, All Flavors Gumdrops recipe posthaste. Can't wait to see the look on my boss's face when I slip him a tabasco one. Ahem.

Kids WILL need help from grownups for most of this stuff, but that's not a bad thing. And, if I may make a suggestion: if you help your kids whip up a batch of Dragon Blood, put it in little plastic bottles from the craft store--and glue the caps on. Messy stuff

Turn off the TV, Get OffLine and Savor this book
Anything that encourages kids to put away the mouse, turn off the TV, get offline and open an old-fashioned adventure - a book - should be treasured. The Book of Wizard Craft does just that. In this visually brilliant book, an old wizard encourages kids to awaken their imaginations, get out the glue, glitter, string, and create! And in a slight-of-hand way he teaches them fascinating facts about alchemy, the runes, and some spooky-fun stuff, too! Lindy Burnett's illustrations are pure magic! The genius of this wonderful book, she has worked wizardry at her own cauldron - the painter's palette. Each beautiful page draws in the eye and the imagination as she spins straw into gold at every stroke of the brush! Ms. Burnett brings exceptional artistic delight to this fun, playful and educational journey through ancient teachings. It is a brilliantly crafted, colorful, alive work of art!

AWESOME!
Once again, Janice Sims gives us a novel that is not only unique in its setting but a marvelous "relationship" novel too! Ms. Sims does a wonderful job of bringing her characters and settings to life! I can just see Ms. Teddy Riley the journalist, Joachim the writer, Teddy's "pretty boy" ex-husband and the quaintness of the small Irish town where the story is set. Ms. Sims takes the reader to an unusual place for African-Americans and does it in a believable way. This novel, as well as her others are well worth the price of the book and the time reading it! I guarantee it will make you run for the bookstore for all of her other titles!

Teddy and Joachim, A Love Destined To Happen!
I have read all of the books ever written by Janice Sims. Each novel has its own unique storyline like this one about Ballycastle, Ireland. At first when I began reading this story, it was a slow read but I soon became aware as to why. The author has to allow the reader to visualize the country of Ireland and its cultural unique ways. So for me it was like taking a history class about Ireland. I enjoyed the characters who made this such an enjoyable book, Joachim, his friend Conal, housekeeper Kathleen, Teddy (Thedora), Teddy's father, son Alex and of course even the ex-husband Adrian. Together they weave an excellent story about love lost to death, love not appreciated, sacrifices one makes for the love of a son and the spark of two people both needing love from one another. Ms Sims, captures all of this in Teddy and Joachim's love story. As you take your time reading this story, you will feel the spirit of Ireland, San Francisco and Carmel-By-The Sea along with Joachim finally letting go of his love lost to Teddy's finally finding someone to love her as she deserves. Thanks Janice, for once again giving us your creative insight for a story that makes its beginning in the heart of Ballycastle, Ireland. **Some of my other favorite Janice Sims novels were: For Keeps, Out of the Blue, Affair of the Heart and All The Right Reasons**

Bittersweet, but Wonderful
This is the first book I've read by Janice and needless to say, I will be ordering her other books. In "A Bittersweet Love", Teddy, a photojournalist, is trying to obtain a staff position at this prestigious magazine. She is assigned to interview the reclusive Joachim West. Joachim, a writer, is in Ireland attending a friend's wedding and writing his next book. The first chapters of the book are dedicated to developing the characters individually. I did find this part to be interesting, but a little on the slow side. They actually don't meet until chapter 7. But, knowing they will meet and waiting for them to meet kept me reading. I loved this story. Teddy was definitely a strong, independent, caring black woman/mother. I could really relate to her. Joachim was the epitome of what we women want in a man. Love, security and devotion (not to mention tall, dark and handsome). I'd let him rescue me any day. You just have to read this book.

Couldn't put it down!
After reading True Women I knew that Hill Country would be another interesting history lesson and I wasn't disappointed! The love that Woods-Windle pours forth from her family tree is told in a way that you want to believe every word to be fact but of course her telling the story in a fashion so artfully done will make me always remember these beautiful people. Little Mattie is such a wonderful mother and Laura is a woman that everyone wants to know. Janice's dipiction of Rebekah Baines Johnson's relation with her best friend, Laura and her son Lyndon is beautifully written. I'm proud to have these two books in my library and to share them with my daughter, sister and special friends.

INCREDIBLE! MY NEW FAVORITE. A GREAT BOOK.
I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. From the beginning to the "wow" of an ending this book will have you hooked. A truely fantastic read. Laura (the main character ) is a very likeable child who grows into a remarkable woman. Her lifes journy takes the reader on a wonderful adventure. Along with her growth as a person the reader can't help but to grow also. A fantastic story.

WOW! What a story, what a life!
Janice Woods Windle has done it again! True Women held me spell-bound, and this book is even better! I was so sorry when it was over. What a life Laura Hogg Woods had. Imagine being born in a time when Indian attacks were common, horses were vital means of transportation and cooking was done on a wood stove. Imagine dying at a time when man is about to go up in space, a beloved president is shot while in his car and your best friend's son becomes the president as a result of the tragedy. This author tells the story so vividly and beautifully, she has an amazing gift. I can't begin to praise this story enough---a great read!

Another Sims blockbuster
Janice Sims never fails to craft stories that keep us turning the pages late into the night. That is the case with her newest offering "A Second Chance at Love."

As usual, you can't put a Janice Sims book down until you finish reading every last word. With a wonderful blend of mystery, romance, suspense and even foreign intrigue, Ms. Sims manages to tell not just one story or even two. No, she takes no prisoners when she offers us six different novels covering three generations within 282 pages. First we have the story of Toni Shaw and Charles Waters, the fifty-something parents of twin daughters, Brianna and Georgette. We first met Georgette in "All the Right Reasons" and now we get a wonderful update on her and her husband Clayton Knight. The third romance is between Brianna and Dominic Solomon. Forth, we have Toni's parents, who, after more than fifty years together, prove the theory that seventy is still sexy. Yusef and Salah Makonnen are the fifth romantic couple. Bringing up the rear is the budding romance between Dr. Solange DuPree and the very British Rupert Giles. Whew! And you didn't need a score card to keep up with all of the players. Now that's what I call a writer!!

Truly Wonderful!
Ms. Sims has done it again! "A Second Chance At Love" is a great book. Toni Shaw and Charles Waters make a loving couple. They show that true love is indeed worth waiting for. Not only does the reader gets to find out what happens with Toni and Chuck, but also what happens with Georgie and Clay and Bree and Dominic.

In this story, Bree is definitely the heroine. She went through some tough times, but her acting skills helped her endure. Also, with Bree's situation, Dominic comes to realize that he does truly love Bree and wants her completely in his life. Not only does Toni and Chuck have a second chance at love, but so does Bree and Dominic. Each couple realize the importance of love and what each one means to the other.

Georgie and Clay also have a happy ending. After losing his first wife to violence, Clay has to overcome his fears for Georgie's safety. Georgie and Clay also have a love that's made to last a lifetime.

Ms. Sims has given the readers an update of Toni Shaw and her family's story originally began in "All the Right Reasons," but she has also given the reader intrigue and adventure. Rupert is a dashing, mysterious man that has Solange thinking romantic thoughts of him. Is there perhaps an upcoming story regarding Rupert and Solange? If so, I am sure I would truly enjoy their story as well as the others books by Ms. Sims.

Good luck, Ms. Sims and keep up the writing.

Sims Writes With Passionate Momentum
Janice Sims has written a story of love, family togetherness, and kidnapping underscored with action and a subplot involving mysticism surrounding seven fertility gods and goddesses. In A Second Chance at Love, the author's writing is articulate, sensitive, and tender. In this sequel to All the Right Reasons, Sims chronicles the lives of main characters Toni Shaw and Charles "Chuck" Edward Waters, along with their twin daughters Georgie and Bree and their significant others. The story unfolds in the cities of New Orleans, Boston, and San Francisco and in several locations in Africa. Before her transformation from social activist to single mother of twin daughters, she now is , at fiftysomething, Toni Shaw the noted author. She had gotten pregnant her freshman year at Berkeley and given birth to Georgie and Bree, who are an attorney and actress, respectively. The twin sisters are 33 years-old. Chuck abandoned Toni when she was pregnant because of his fear of reprisal from his elitist parents. Now, three decades-plus later, he is back in Toni's life, wooing her as he'd more relentlessly done in their youth. He's a changed man after realizing some years ago the error of his ways. He's out to prove to Toni he's changed. But can Toni believe him? For one thing, Toni is afraid of what her family and friends will think of her if she allows Chuck to steal her heart once again, especially after vowing to stay away from Chuck under all circumstances. Trust, of course, is at the core of her wavering, and she wonders if she should dare trust him after the callous manner in which he behaved years ago. As they are gradually mending bridges that separate them, Toni finds herself succumbing to his charm until he pops the question: "Will you marry me?" Toni throws herself into her work and flees to research who's behind stealing the fertility gods and goddesses in different locations around the world. Her first stopover is in Miami and eventually to Africa. Chuck knows she is trying to avoid giving him an answer. So the question has him in a quandary thinking, should he follow her or wait for her to return to his arms? Then Toni is notified that Bree has been kidnapped on location where she is shooting a film. How the villains associate Toni and Bree is somewhat of a stretch of plausibility. Nonetheless, at this point, everything else takes a back burner. However, at the same time, the author speeds up the action. However, readers won't get the answer to Chuck's question, or who kidnapped Bree, or the answer to the disappearing fertility dolls until the climatic moments when all answers are provided and wrapped up into a tidy package. In A Second Chance at Love, Janice Sims writes with passionate momentum. (From reviewer, Emma J. Wisdom of the Chattanooga Courier. September 10, 2001. Pages 3, 5.

A must read!!!
I met Peter at a seminar that he presented. It's not often that one has the opportunity to meet and get to know someone with his awesome presence and integrity. He walks his talk. And after reading his book, I found it so easy to read, with useful information to realize our dreams and have them become a reality. All one has to do is follow the steps. Wow!!!

Official Review Of The Dream Factory
The Dream Factory is a book that will wake your facilities to a new understanding of what is around you and capable of achieving. The book will open some unforgotten path ways inside your minds eye to help educate and make you aware of the here and now, versus the old that's been around a while.

If you apply the principles taught, you are sure to reap the reward.

Mike W. Smith
President
Unified Consulting Company

Highly unusual approach to motivation
This book offers a different approach than the usual motivational stuff out there because Quinones is almost an academic, highly schooled in the humanities, but at the same time his nuts and bolts business acumen as a car salesman comes across as well. It's weird, but refreshing, to hear someone talk about Emily Dickinson and leasing a car to Joey's brother-in-law in the same book. Some of the concepts (the "projection principle" ) seem very hard to implement but are probably worth the effort. All in all, this seems a totally different approach to motivation then the usual rah rah stuff.

An enchanting tale for true romantics!
Out of the Blue is an enchanting tale by the gifted storyteller, Janice Sims. From the arctic waters of Russia to the balmy Florida Keys, Sims has crafted a story of romance and mystery that's sprinkled with just enough fairy dust to make you wonder...and smile. Well done!

Delicious!
This is a romance that can keep you awake at night, or have you riding the bus or train past your stop. You NEED to know what's on the next page.

Carefully researched and written, OUT OF THE BLUE is no child's tale, but it does make you believe that so much is possible. This story even makes you wonder about your own heritage (smile). As people of color, we know that our histories are filled with myriad racial twists and turns -- but isn't that a part of what makes us so unique? Well, initially Gaea Maxwell might have said yes, but that was before she learned how deeply those twists and turns would affect her.

And who knew gorgeous Micah Cavanaugh would come along for the roller coaster ride!

As a writer, I very much enjoyed this author's word usage. She gives us tone and texture in abundance. As a woman, I enjoyed her descriptions of both the people and the setting. She gives us evocative sensuality and passion on a visceral level. At one point, I would have sworn I could feel my hair curling from the steamy Florida heat.

This is an excellent effort, and I have to admit, I'm wondering what Ms. Sims might do with Scully and Mulder -- given the opportunity.

An enchanting novel for true romantics!!
Out of the Blue is an enchanting tale expertly woven by Janice Sims, a captivating storyteller. From the frigid waters of Russia to the balmy Florida Keys, Sims takes the reader on a mysterious, romantic ride that's sprinkled with just enough fairy dust to make you wonder...and smile. Well done!
