An absolutely WONDERFUL series!!!!!
I am 28 years old and grew up with the Sweet Pickles Series. The books were so enlightening. I can remember what all the characters looked like, what the stories were about. I have no favorite one as I LOVE them all. I even had a green plastic Sweet Pickles case to hold my books in. I now have two daughters and for the last 9 years, I have driven my husband crazy to find these books for me. He has never heard of them and searched frantically to find them. After much unsuccessful searching, he was positive I was crazy-until now!! I was so excited when I found this I started to cry. Now my husband really thinks I am goofy. After finding this on the amazon.com website I was able to prove to him they really existed. Please, please, please if there are any or all of the books to be found please notify me. I would love to add them to my childrens' book collection and keep them in the family for my grandchildren as well as myself.

Sweet Pickles is forever wonderful
I had not though of Sweeet Pickles in over 15 years, when a friend of mine presented me with a cardboard cut-out of some of the characters. I literally cried when I saw it. I am now 23 and still consider Sweet Pickles to be one of the best series I have ever read. I would love to see it back in print; as I would not only buy it for the kids in my life, but myself also. Please bring Sweet Pickles back!!

The Sweet Pickles books are my absolute favorites!
I am a 23 year old teacher and I have been searching desperately for a collection of these books. Most of my set was lost in a flood. I have "Nuts to Nightengale" and "Enormous Elephant," but would really like to acquire the rest of the series! When I was 7, I built the town of Sweet Pickles out of clay and used finger puppets to act out the stories. I would love for my children to have the opportunity to experience these wonderful books.

Fixed by Camel
Kidding Kangaroo loved to play jokes on Clever Camel while she was working. In the end she built a trap for Kangaroo. The DANGER sign sounds like a bare feet sign. I love to read bare feet signs like Kangaroo loved to read the DANGER sign.

A Fixed Pickle
I love this book. It helps children see the problems with too many practical jokes. I believe they will draw their own conclusion that helping others is a better way to go. Like all the other Sweet Pickle books, it allows children to feel they are getting to know new characters in Sweet Pickle. It gives them friends they will remember for years.

I love the whole sweet pickles series.....
This was the first book of the series that my mother gave me. It is the first book I read all by myself and I am in love with it. I have a son now, and would love to start him off on the same series. They are great!

Yes, we have no bananas
This is my favorite Sweet Pickles book, both because of the built in business/money lesson and because it is simply HILARIOUS! Teachers will want this book on hand when teaching about money, elephants, economics, or just for a fun read. "Everyone bought one banana so they could get two for nothing, but they didn't buy anything else! What do we do now??" It doesn't get any better than that!

Sweet Pickles
I bought the complete set of sweet pickle books for my children when they first came out. Years later I loaned them to a friend to read to her twin daughters (1990) and she refuses to return these books to me saying her daughters do not want to part with them. I love them and have read all of the books. I would like to know where I can purchase the complete set and if it will every be released again. *****do not lend anyone anything if you do not expect to get it back***** I learned the hard way.

YOUR CHILDREN WILL FIND SWEET PICKLES BOOKS TO BE TOO SWEET
THE WHOLE SWEET PICKLES SERIES IS A JOY FOR ALL KIDS OF ALL AGES. I GREW UP WITH THE SWEET PICKLES BOOKS AND I AM NOW ON THE HUNT FOR THE WHOLE SERIES (ALL 26 CHARACTERS). NOT ONLY FOR MY 6 1/2 YEAR OLD SON AND MY 4 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER, BUT FOR MYSELF AS WELL. I VERY MUCH ENJOYED THE BOOKS AS A CHILD AND I WILL ENJOY READING THE STORIES TO MY KIDS AGAIN. SWEET PICKLES CHARACTERS ARE FUN AND THEY TEACH KIDS HOW TO SHARE, AND JUST BE ALL AROUND GOOD PEOPLE. LEARNING WHILE HAVING FUN, WHAT MORE CAN A CHILD ASK FOR? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE WHOLE SWEET PICKLES SERIES, WHETHER IT BE- "WHO CAN TRUST YOU, KANGAROO?", OR "ELEPHANT EATS THE PROFITS"- I AM SURE YOUR KIDS WILL ENJOY.

very worried walrus
This is a book about a walrus who is very worried about riding a bike. He keeps on thinking that something could happen to him. Then his friend tells him to try it so he does he has fun and then he crashes into a tree. He gets up and is all fine.

Very Worried Walrus
The "Very Worried Walrus," written by Richard hefter. This book is about a worried walrus that is scared to ride a bike. He is worried that he will fall off and hit a tree, and have to go to the hospital, but the traffic jam stops him so the helicopter comes and as it takes him to the hospital the rope brakes and he falls in the water. Now he has to swim all the way to the shore. Then when he gets to a town all the trains had left and it was to late for the bus. So he had to walk home in the pouring rain and that made him sad. But the pig begged and begged him to try it. So finally he rode and rode but the end is up to you to read. I thought this book was a very good one and it will help your children to be brave and try everything at least once. This book will soon to your son or daughters favorite book. They will read it over and over again

Very Worried Walrus
This is a wonderful book for a parent to share with their child. It teaches a simple leason: don't sweat the small stuff and let it build up to be something bigger than it should be. My parents shared it with as a reading learner. It has become part of my families daily lingo.

What's a xerus?
I hope that I'm not the only one who remembers these Sweet Pickles book. This book was pretty entertaining as a child. There are 26 letters in the alphabet and for the Sweet Pickles series, each main character, an animal, represented a letter of the alphabet. "X" is for "xerus", but does anyone know what a xerus is?

My Favorite Sweet Pickles Book
This was my favorite in the series (if I am thinking of the right one). I don't have the books anymore, but they are a very fond memory from my childhood. Xerus - I can't remember what he looks like! But, the story goes that Xerus is obsessed with everyone following the rules. He goes to the extreme of starting to post signs around town for everyone to follow. It gets way out of hand...there are signs everywhere! The signs start conflicting, such as "don't walk on the grass" and "don't walk on the sidewalk", so the other animals start getting very confused and upset with what they can and cannot do. In the end, the animals come over to Xerus' house and post this giant billboard outside his house that says something like "no more signs" or "no more rules".

Goose Goofs Off
This book was about a goose who lazy and did not want to do anything and there was lots of noise outside that was wake up Goose. She tried everything to keep her self from hearing the noises. She even put earmuffs over her ears but she still heard it. Then someone called her and woke her up again. She couldn't get back to sleep so she decided she would watch some TV, but the TV was broke so she went into the kitchen and got something to eat, but the floor was all sticky from the Ice cream. So she decided she would go take a nap on her hammock, but it was too quiet. She smelled something from down the street and followed the smell. It was coming from rabbits house. It was some cookies, she asked rabbit why she wasn't invited and she said because you said you were taking it easy today.
This book was a good book, but I don't think it was the best. But it does teach you that being lazy isn't a good thing. I think this book could have been better.

Goose Goofs Off
The book " Goose Goofs Off " is not the best book I've read, but it was still a good book. This book could be taken in a couple of different ways itself. This book was about a Goose who puts everything off and doesn't do anything. For example she spilled ice cream all over her kitchen floor. Instead of cleaning it she says " I'll do it tomorrow ." Like I was saying, you can look at this in two ways. You could read this and it could tell you that it is ok to be lazy and to not do anything around the house and stuff. Or you could look at it as this book teaches you that if you don't do anything and put it all off, that you will never get anything accomplished. Putting things off, till the last minute isn't the way to do things. It is best do things right away to get them out of the way instead of worrying about everything all at once later.

Sweet Pickles Book Series
I grew up on this series of books. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM! I learned how to read with them! I am extremely upset that my mother didn't save them. I want to recollect the whole series so I can share them with my children. Sweet Pickles, along with the Berenstein Bears, Fraggle Rock, and the Encyclopedia children's show (all from the 80s) are all things I plan on finding to share with my children and their children and so on.
