My 2.5 years old son falls in love with this book. He reads it every night. Every night, he will take out this book from the shelf and asks me to tell what the sesame street muppet did in the pages. Once I stop, he will say : "Turn the page, Mum, No stop. Please read me this book!" If you don't ask him to stop reading, he will continue to read this book till late night. This book is really a unusal dictionary that the family with little child should have one.

This book is not just for toddlers. It is the only dictionary I have seen that puts standard sight words into meaning. Particulary children with learning disabilities have a very difficult time understand the concept of sight words. With a very playful, visual and active descriptive of the sight words, it brings life to the meaning of the words, and it eases in the retention of these words when reading. This book is excellent for children with reading disabilities - up until the 3rd or 4th grade.

This book is wonderful for children from ages 2 and up. My 2 year old is not yet ready to learn definitions, but the book is filled with colorful, easy to see pictures, in which he can identify his beloved Sesame Street characters, as well as the activities that they portray. This is one of the few books that he doesn't want to put down. So many pages makes it something new each and every time we pick it up. I cannot tell you the extent of the knowledge he has gained from this book. Several of his daycare teachers have told me how amazing he is in what he knows and comprehends for a child his age. His knowledge and perception of things took off immediately following our Sesame Street Dictionary reading sessions. This is a book that will continue to give as he grows older and begins learning the concepts and definitions of these words, not to mention when he begins reading and writing!

My daughter and I love this book (since about 18 months). The rhyming pattern is wonderful, the pictures are exciting, all in all, a great book. We like to try and find all the different characters on the page and see what they're doing. The ending is also a pleaser. It's a great transition book from picture books to short strories with a plot This is one of the best Early Step into Reading books.

A great read that invites lots of animation on the part of parents. My son started loving this book at about 14 months and is still reading it at 19 months. He gets excited every time a character he has seen on TV appears. The rythm is excellent, the book is exciting, and has a very happy ending. We take this one in the car and my son 'reads' it by himself. A gotta have....

one of my favorite childhood books ever, so darling. i still remember all the pages and what scratch and sniff they had.

I don't think I can fully discribe how much I *love* this book. It is a precious story about a little kitten's discovery about the world around her. I could almost repeat the book word for word. The over all theme of the book is that some times you get into a lot of trouble being curious (like falling into a pond trying to figure out what a fish is), but sometimes it's very good (like finding a new friend). This has to be one of the greatest childern's books. My copy is very old and ragged from many years of use, and I'm trying to get a new one.

Just bought this fun workbook for my five year old. It is funny, has great artwork and really got her interested in addition. She has a knowledge of simple addition, but this book explains in easy terms that 3 + 1 = 4, is sometimes 1 + 3 = 4. Also helped to explain the concept of zero. The book has places for the children to write in the answers, therefore getting used to writing out numbers. A great learning experience.

I found this workbook in an airport shop during a 3 hour delay...it was wonderful. My children were so excited and eager to learn. The workbook has areas to practice writing the numbers and then keeps them eager to practice while connecting the right # to the set (also great about learning sets), then filling in the number to correct sets and also then uses stickers to complete the sets. I highly recommend these kid freindly workbooks. I'm ordering more...

I bought this chunky little book for my 10 month old nephew and he loves it! The words are recognizable to him, and he can hold it all by himself. When we read it to him, he giggles and giggles!

As always, Munsinger's illustrations are utterly charming. And this story about a sly rabbit, using his wits to triumph over a not-quite-so-tricky wolf, is sure to please most children. Highly recommended.

This book was one of my favorites as a child. I still have it and read it to my own children. The illustrations are very funny. The text has lots of very good examples of the different letter sounds and blends. It is a very thorough book. My kids want to look at it over and over again.

My First Bible

We have this beautiful Bible and my son LOVES it. We bought it right after he turned 2, and he just loves to have it read to him! I do not agree with the "professional" reveiw of this Bible AT ALL. My son loves the way the stories are told, and he adores the illustrations. One great selling point for us was that we discovered that there is an illustration in the story of "Jesus' Twelve Friends" of a mother nursing her baby. :) As a family who breastfeeds, we found this to be just wonderful! Very well told, and beautifully illustrated! Many thanks to the Author and the Illustrator!

Richly satisfying artwork, with text that rhymes. Out of a large basket of small books, our kids choose "Noah's Ark" by Amy Flynn & Linda Hayward to be read time and time again. A classic "chunky book".

I liked this book because it was cute and I liked the surprise ending. This book was about a kitten named Rainy, who was a stray until a boy named Ricky found her. He was walking to school one day and he heard cries. He couldn't find out where they were coming from until a kitten popped out and then Ricky took Rainy to school. The other children wanted the kitten as a pet. Ricky couldn't keep it and no one else could either. One student thought of having the kitten for one night and passing it along, the parents agreed. One day a boy named Frank lost the kitten and didn't want to go to school. The kids put an ad in the paper and the next day a boy named Billy had a surprise. Read the book "Rainy" to find out the end. Katie V.
