This may be the title the other reviewers seek. Read this in 1951 and converted to a diet of fresh food sans sugar and processed grains. After a year I had gained greater strength and stamina. Hauser had everything basic except for bran, but of course he used whole wheat. I am 73 now and fully active, don't need glasses and feel that Hauser is in the same league with Linus Pauling- right on.

I also am not sure if this is Hauser's book that I read in the 60's; but rest assured, Gaylord Hauser introduced me to sound nutrition when I was 16 and I have been hooked on health ever since (50 now/fantastic health). I've read just about every health book there is and have just come across what I feel should be on everyone's bookshelf and I ordered it right here on Amazon.com. 4 Blood Types, 4 Diets, Eat Right 4 your Type by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. I intend to do an online review of D'Adamo's book and wanted to reference the Hauser book I read, and I like the other reviewer, am not sure this was it. I thought the title was "You are What You Eat", but can't find it here. I will reference my other favorite health books when I have the time to write a review on D'Adamo's "Masterpiece". I'm A+ (basic vegetarian) and my husband is just the opposite O (Meat eater). Makes for interesting meals.

I am not exactly sure this is the Hauser book I read, or another with a similar title. It was back in l969. I find that after reading hundreds of food books since, his science was right on all along. This is the author that made me want to eat right and live to be a "healthy happy 100". I am half way there! Worth reading.
