I think that this book is an extremely helpful book for a classroom teacher who is looking to teach directions such as north, south, east, and west. Directions are used and with a follow up activity this children's book could really compliment it.

In the spirit of Harry the Dirty Dog and Curious Jorge comes another delightful and energetic animal that goes exploring his surroundings. The book is a joy to read and children will love having it read to them.

This book is a delight! It has a wonderful way of making a child feel okay with the sometime negative feelings of having a new brother or sister. It is sensitive to ensure at the end of the book that everything will be okay!

John Hassett is my favorite childrens book author. I love his work, and would request it to anyone. If you like this book, also see "Junior", "We got my Broother at the Zoo", "Charles of the Wild", and "Cat up a Tree". He is an exellent author, and artist.

This is a very sweet, humorous story. The watercolor illustrations are beautiful. My son enjoys counting the cats as they multiply.

I was browsing in the bookstore and came across Cat Up A Tree, and immediately fell in love with it. The story is cute and entertaining, but by far the best thing about it are the illustrations! They're very vivid, detailed and excellently done, I spent a lot of time just looking at them, so I know that my child is going to love them, too.

Definitely a great book for young children and those who read to them.

I liked the part when the cats got stuck in the tree. I liked the part when Nana Quimbe called the town hall. It is fun to wonder what will happen at the end when mice flood the town.
