Continued excellence by Lawrence Christopher
A disturbing work that showcases the skills and emotional depth of this up and coming (or is he already here?) author.

Quick paced mystery!
Looking for a quick paced mystery to get your mind running as you try to figure out whodunit? Well, Dog 'Em: A Mick Hart Mystery, fits the bill and goes the extra distance to take you into the world of Mick Hart, private investigator! It also throws in a measure of drama and romance to give it an extra twist and provide wider audience appeal.

Mick Hart can't win for losing. When he goes against the rules and bends the rules for a single mom to help her find the father of her child, he loses his job. We then take on a journey through one of Mick's cases in which he's hired to find Amanda Monroe, reported missing by her grandmother, and using his first tactic of checking the city morgues, he comes up empty handed...well, almost empty handed. Instead of finding her, he finds two corpses with similar injuries and then finds Amanda in the hospital in a coma with the same injuries. The plot thickens when he finds out that all the women know each other and are members of the Sisters of Empowering and Learning Book Club.

Their last read was How to Train the Dog in Your Black Men so perhaps that has someone feeling a bit threatened, challenged, and ridiculed by women across the country. Many women are picking it up and trying to put its principles to practice at the risk of becoming the next victim. And the serial killer is on a rampage trying to redeem himself. He's [upset] and tired of being the one dogged.

Christopher has brilliantly penned a novel that is poignant and revealing, just as it is suspenseful and intriguing. I read this book in under two hours and my only disappointment was that it was over. I look forward to the next installment in the Mick Hart series and would highly recommend this book.

Great book
This was a really good instructional book. The illustrations and step by step instructions are easy to follow and cute as the dickens. I drew one really adorable terrier before my artistic talent gave out, but that didn't have anything to do with the book. A definite keeper.

Excellent How-To Draw Book !
This is really a great book for cartoon drawers. Great for all ages. You will enjoy this book.

This book is the dogs bark! no cats allowed
I bought this book on here(Amazon.com) a few months ago and, So far this is the best book I have come across on how to draw cartoon dogs and puppies. It has everything you need to know like: in one section each page has a diffrent kind of breed like the, Cocker Spaniel, Chow Chow, German Shepherd,or Chihuahua just to name a few. it has dog expressions, how to draw puppies and wolves, foxies, then at the end of the book it shows you how to draw dogs in human form, and has costumes you can look off of. this book has nothing but fun in it and entertains you for hours! its also great when you have kids over or if its a raining day. My book's pages are always open, someone in my house is always useing it, It's so worth the buy, and its cheap too. Buy it!

MUST HAVE!!!
Christopher Hart's how to draw books are all wonderful. I own this one and a couple others and I often go back to them when I just can't get my sketches perfect. When I first received them I couldn't tear myself away. I was drawing up a storm 24-7. I've drawn realistic pictures all my life, but until buying these books, I'd never been able to whip out anything cartoony. Unexpectedly, his instructions and tips on cartoon drawing also helped me out in my realistic drawing and creativity.

I can't say enough about this book! You won't be disappointed! It's well worth the price and more. One great thing about it is that not only does the author really know his stuff, he's managed to present it wonderfully. It's a fun & easy read!!!

A must for all potential cartoonists!
A well done book! This book shows you all you need to know about drawing animals. If there ever was a book that was intended for all potential animators and cartoonists, this has got to be it!

Simply the Best!
I have other how to draw comic books, but this ranks the best! I'ts great for those who are just starting out and experts! I rate it a 10+!

This Book Helped Me Alot!
I am 12 years old and I love to draw. And this book helped me to do better.I always thought you could draw by just drawing right off the bat and in this book, I found that you had to start off with shapes and guide lines. Now I can draw much better now that I know the proper way to draw.I also had a problem, when drawing animals that stood on all fours. It would always be very difficult for me to draw their legs so that they looked good and this book helped me with that too.I was going to buy "How to Draw Cartoon Dogs, Puppies, and Wolves" but I found it was out of print.I saw a used one here on Amazon but it was $..., and I don't have that kind of money...

Hard To Find Good Cat Cartoon Books
Good cartoon books on drawing specifically cats are hard to find, and this is one of the best. I am currently working on a script with 4 different cat types, and this book has them all, including the tiger! Althouth basic drawing techniques could be improved (he jumps to the finished product quickly), it is still a great teaching tool and a lot of fun.

Great book for anybody who loves cartoons and/or cats
This book really improved my cartooning. I spent many hours with this book and have really improved my drawing. The "Modeling Cats After People" section gave me some great insights into expressing personality.

My kids loved it as well. They especially loved the "Cat Characters and Costumes" section. I highly recommend this book.

Excellent!
Excellent guide with beautiful photos! Would make a wonderful gift for lovers of ecotravel. I've researched a number of ecotrips, and it covered almost every one I'd ever dreamed of taking, with the one exception of a trip to see the baby harp seals in Canada.

Excellent guide!
Superb guide. Complete with nice photos, tips, practical information (like the best season to go, what to bring, etc) and many addresses of tourism offices, eco-travel tourism agencies, etc. I can assure that the information of the places I have already visited is accurate, including some tips that I could have enjoyed if I had bought this book before. Don't miss it!

Good book
I have had this book for a few years now and I love it. Hart gives lots of examples of a character in different situations. He also shows how to lay out your comic and gives advice on colors and such. This book /would/ have gotten the full 5 stars, but I felt that the section on animals could have either been expanded to include a basic rundown on construction for beginners, or left out entirely. The section is mainly about the relative height of animals to others and, above that, an intermediate construction of the animal itself, plus a brief written guideline. I should be getting Hart's book on cartooning animals today, so hopefully that will be more of a help to me in the animal area. All in all, this book is great for those who are just starting out or need a refresher.

Great Stuff Here!
Christopher Hart has brought many hours of both fun drawing and thoughtful learning in my atristic journey. Not only does he explain everything you need to know for beginners, but some fresh stuff for the experienced artist as well. I'm sure anyone of all ages will enjoy learning form this and all of his great books.

really fun book
This book will help you transit from doodling to drawing cartoons. It is great for distracting your collegues during long meetings, delighting younger children who should be concentrating on other things, and annoying your spouse who is trying to pay attention.
Get it.

First-rate!
This is an excellent book for any beginning artist or anyone else wanting to learn cartooning. Chris Hart publishes some of the best books on art that I've ever seen. This book gives good details on drawing that is easy to follow and understand. All in all, this is one book that should be in every artist's library.

From the Beginning
From the beginning of this book to the end, it is filled with (finally) basic, step-by-step instructions on drawing cartoon people, body parts, the "action line", body language and style. And then it starts all over again with animals! Mostly dogs, cats, and different fowl, it also includes less common animals, like beaver, porcupine, raccoon and many sea animals. Can't forget the great alligators and dragon. Finally, the book spends time on placing the characters, reference lines and specialty shots and the all-important "balloon". Another great one by C. Hart. I think I own most of his books and they are all worth great merit, better than the other books I've seen out there by far.

My Drawing Bible
A few years ago, on a whim, I decided to start drawing. I didn't know where to begin so I bought this book. I really believed I couldn't draw. The techniques in this book were so easy to learn that soon I went from drawing stick figures to expressive cartoon characters. My confidence went up and I took on more complicated projects. Now, I work part-time doing illustrations and it all started here!

Decent details.
I like the details inlcuded in this book, like the logic
parts. An example would be, how does the pilot enter the mecha,
or how the cockpit looks like, or what the suit should look like
and so on...

His style though, is only moderate, and if you really REALLY
want to learn to draw robots, you should take
a look at "How To Draw Manga - Giant Robots" by Hikaru Hayashi.

Having both books can give you an excellent insight on the genre,
and lets you make your own style, because that's what it's all
about!

So good!
I loved this book about Japannese Mecha drawn by and American artist...Hart does a great job here by presenting a "detailed" catalogue of mecha drawing... This book is not only for begginers but for advanced artists who finally recognize japanesse cartoon styles rule this days...Great book!!

Wow!
What a great book. He goes through all the important aspects gradually, and shows you how to draw perspectives, detail, how to emphasize certain features, and just about anything you need to know. The examples rock hard, and he really does a great job of getting you started on drawing mecha. A great book, hands down.

Now go buy it!
