Written expressly to be easily understood
Unveiling Depression In Women: A Practical Guide To Understanding And Overcoming Depression by licenced psychologists Catherine Hart Weber and Archibald Hart is a serious guide written expressly to be easily understood by the non-specialist general reader. This informative highly recommended work deals specifically with understanding the unfortunate phenomenon of depression as it specifically presents itself in women. Individual chapters address causes of depression, getting help, and strategies for improving one's life when suffering from depression or if a loved one suffers from depression. Unveiling Depression In Women is an ideal book for anyone who suffers from chronic or clinical depression, and those who love them.

A Good Practical Guide to Dealing With Depression
This volume is indeed a practical guide to understanding and dealing with depression, especially as it affects women. The place of Christian faith in the healing process is paramount in this book. Discussion of the topic is divided into four major sections: Understanding Depression in Women; Causes of Depression; Getting Help and Healing Depression; and Strategies for Overcoming Depression. In non technical terms the causes and affects of depression are discussed as well as possible methods of intervention. It is helpful to see that depression is a natural consequence of life experiences. When it absorbs a major part of one's life, depression has become a serious problem, but not a hopeless one. Beginning with prayer and fellowship with other Christians, the depressed woman can obtain the degree of help she needs if she follows the suggestions provided by the authors. Pastors, counselors, grandparents, and good friends will find this a ready resource.

Wow,
This was the first "Catherine Hart" book I read, once i opened it I couldn't put it down. It's a book for all those romantics out there and the story line is really great and although this is a romance book I was laughing all the way through, this book is really funny. My favorite part is when the heroine leaves the hero suspended upside down dangling helplessly from a rope.

very nice
I liked this book because there are more than 2 characters. And it was pretty funny too.My first Catherine Hart and I'm comming for more.

Best Book I have read
I thought this book was the best book that I have read so far. I loved how Zach was very honest with Kelly about what he wanted and didn't "beat around the bush". It was great how they all learned to work together and I am sure that I will read it more then one time.

Exhilarating, entrancing, enthralling, engaging . . .
And so many other words I can't even list them all! _Horizons_ grabbed me right from the first page and wouldn't let go. It has everything you could possibly want in a story -- adventure, romance, intrigue and danger lurking around every corner. The plane crash and subsequent events were very true to life. Ms. Hart delivers a well-rounded group of characters who all have their own *very* distinct personalities. Using this cast of lovable, delightful rag-tags she lets you see how many people react to adversity in so many different ways. I finished the entire thing in one day -- I simply couldn't put it down. I was riveted and on the edge of my seat with each turn of the page. You'll enjoy every minute of your time with Kelly, Zach, Blair, Alita, Gavin, Sydney and the others. But you'll especially get caught up in the romance between Kelly and Zach and you'll rejoice as they discover love amid the danger and tragedy and as life blossoms where there was so much devastation. Don't pass this up!

great read
It seems that although well received Silken Savage is not one of this author's strongest novels. I have to tell you that this is the first Catherine Hart novel I read but, definitely, not the last!! Well written, lots of twist and turns that just make this a delightful read from start to finish. How interesting... the love story between A Panther Stalks and Little Wildcat. Other reviewers were put off by the humiliation the heroine initially received in the hands of this Cheyenne warrior. I , however, felt the handling and abuse of Little Wildcat would be consistent with how a captured "slave" would be treated by the Cheyenne. The ONLY criticism I had was in the timing of the relationship between hero and heroine. It just seemed a little unrealistic that such a spirited individual as Little Wildcat(aka Tanya)would transition and submit so quickly and completely as a "slave" and paramour to this intimidating warrior. You would think that she would harbour a bit more contempt and a little fight to remain independent. She succombs to life as a Cheyenne almost immediately and within weeks rejects the "White world" and culture she had known and been nutured in all her life.

All in all, a great book. I can hardly wait to read another Catherine Hart novel.

Fantastic, Unbelievable, Wonderful and So Enjoyable!!
Silken Savage is one of the best historical romance books I've read this year, 1999 so far. A Panther Stalks and Wildcat - a couple born to love. Tanya Martin taken by force by a raid, A Panther Stalks takes her for his own.. He drags her around by a leash, strips her of her clothes at night so she can't escape and yet real love develops between them. They get married. Tanya learns to become a good warrior and borns two sons. The village is taken over by the calvary and Tanya is taken back to her parents. Nothing will keep these two people apart. Read the book, it's so great. This is the type of book you can read over and over again. I wish a movie would be produced.. Wow... Great job Catherine Hart!

Silken savage
This book is the best. I wore out my first copy. I have read the book at least 25 times. I'm sure that my second copy will not last long. I have loaned it out to everyone who reads. Love the detail and the love story. A Panther Stalks stirs the blood and Wildcat is the perfect heroine. Jeffery and SueEllen make you want to string them up. Keep writing these kinds of books.

Fallen Angel was a great book!
This story was great, the author took to totally different people and made them work together. A gun fighter and a semi-nun, supposedly half brother and sister. He loves her very much from the beginning it seems, but not in a brotherly way. She is confused about how she feels, not sure if its sisterly love or a love a woman feels for a man. It is really funny, not to give some of the story away but I thought the part when he's undressing her to put her to bed and isn't sure if he should take off everthing or not, it goes from there to her waking up naked and thinking the maid must have done it, anyway she soon finds out how it really was and gets furious and losses her religion to curses she throws at Jake. This was my first book of Catherines' but I do believe I'm hooked. Can't wait to start my collection of the rest. I recommend this book, it will have you crying, laughing out loud and in love with both the characters. I truly enjoyed it

Great Read
Depite being written in the eighties, this is still a very good book. It had humor, action, and of course, romance. Jake was a strong hero. He became an outlaw after his sister and her family were needlessly killed. And Tori was a very interesting heroine for him. Not only was she a nun, but also his half sister. There were a lot of memorable scenes in this book. I especially like the way they were married. The novel has a lot of twists and turns and always keeps you wondering what's going to happen next. I wish there was a sequel with their children.

I loved this book
This book was the first romance novel I've read, and I think the characters in this book were perfect for each other, one bad boy image and one good girl image both bringing it out of each other. He bringing her desires out and lighting her flame and her cracking his hard exterior. This book is perfect for a lot of different readers; it has humor, mystery, action and romance but not so much that you are trapped in a soap opera. Also the way Catherine writes in discription, you can just jump right into the story; you can feel every emotion as the characters are. I truely recommend this book to anyone. It truely has everything you could want to read it a book.

Wonderful!
This story was wonderfully touching and romantic. You could really feel yourself being pulled into the feelings of love and desire between Night Hawk and Sarah. The bantering between each other as Night Hawk was able to gently bend and submit Sarah to his ways was touching and believeable. The history of Cheyenne beliefs and the Christian beliefs Sarah was brought up with, was woven into warm comparison of the two. So Sarah found it easy to adapt to the Cheyenne ways and beliefs. This story is full of so much tenderness that it's definetly one you will want to own. It's a keeper.

Very Good Read!
This was my first Catherine Hart novel, and I really enjoyed it. I found the tender love and the dialog, between the heroin Sara and Night Hawk quit believeable. I found myself truly lost in the story. Very good read with lots of twists and turns. I couldn't put it down.

Great
The book was so romantic and the story was beautiful. Night Hawk is a dream guy!

Great help and understanding of Female Sexuality
I found this book to be extremely helpful in identifying and confirming the needs and expectations women have of intimate relations. It was also helpful in recognizing the specific things which limit or quelch desire for women.
I really appreciated the advice for optimal lifestyles for those going through PMS or Menopause.
Truly a book worth having for your reference library!

mellibot's review is biased
I thought that this book was amazing. Mellibot is a feminist, so of course she thinks that this book is "propaganda." This book has excellent advice and information for women and for men. The fact is, true fulfilling sex comes only with a committed marital relationship, just like God has always told us. He knows best for us. ... which is better, to trust your own self-centered ideas, or to trust the God who created you? May Christ be glorified in this book.

A Long-Overdue, Christian Book on Female Sexuality
I have read several Christian books which give a general overview on how male and female relational, emotional and physical needs differ. Usually only one chapter is devoted to sex, and then the attention is focused on the activity of marital sex itself rather than the broader subject of male/female sexuality. In this book, Hart provides the feminine counterpart to his earlier, masculine work, "The Sexual Man."

This book has a strong Christian perspective, and the author makes no apologies for it. In fact, one of the main reasons Hart wrote this work is to give an accurate treatment of CHRISTIAN female sexuality, which differs in several ways from secular treatments of the same topic.

Reading this book will enhance your marriage, and will be especially helpful if you have a Christian marriage. It will also be a tremendous asset if you are single. This work isn't just for women -- it is a work ABOUT women, for women as well as for men. Get it, read it, and see the improvement God brings in your life!

seas of wonder and shores of desire
The most feared pirate to prowl the waters, handsome Devlin "Devil" Kane is magically transformed by a bolt of St. Elmo's Fire--and impelled by a strange irresistible force toward the Carolina colonies...and the woman who is his destiny.

Only the soft, sensuous touch of prim and lovely Eden Winters can banish the spell that is Devlin's curse...and his salvation. But unknown dangers await Eden in the arms of her mysterious "ghost captain"--sweeping the reluctant beauty into a wondrous, unexplored realm of rapturous passion, perilous adventure and love's sweet Splendor.

A good read
Pirate Devlin Kane is rendered invisible by a mysterious light. Eden Winter is the only one who can see him. Whenever she touches him, others can see him, too. Devlin decides he has to keep her close to him no matter what and helps her solve her business problems to gain her cooperation. Add an invisible falcon and an invalid mother to the mix, and you have, of course, a recipe for romance (and mixups) I really enjoyed this book, and I'll be on the lookout for other books by Catherine Hart.

Go To A Place Full of Hope, Dreams, Love, and Adventure.....
One dark and stormy night, Devlin Kane, is hit by a bolt of St. Elmo's fire and so is his trained falcon, Zeus. Miraculously they survive and shortly after Devlin wakes up he finds out that he's invisible! He knows that he's not a ghost because he can lift objects and function like any other human being. He's sure that this is his punishment for being a pirate, but still it doesn't make sense. He wasn't the worst pirate out there. He feels like his life is over, but the Fates have other ideas.

Eden Winters is the only one who can see him and with her touch so can everyone else, but as soon as they stop touching, he fades out of view. So, Devlin strikes a bargain with her, if she stays close to him until he regains his body, he'll pay off her debts, keeping her out of Dudley Finster's arms. Eden reluctantly accepts and so begins their adventure towards love. Eden has no idea that Devlin is determined to seduce her before he leaves Charles Town. (For some odd reason Eden can't see Devlin's falcon.) Eden blossoms under Devlin's praise and you see her grow. (She has never had any faith in her looks or in her abilities.) And if you look closely, so does Devlin.

There are so many obstacles in their way and Devlin is firmly set against love and marriage. I was beginning to believe that the stubborn pirate would never let Eden into his heart and would leave a broken hearted Eden behind. Making my heart ache right along with Eden's, because she was convince it would happen too. In the midst of all this they have to keep Devlin's invisibility a secret from her housekeeper, Dora and her invalid mother, Jane. Jane eventually finds out and to Eden's surprise she's delighted. But poor Dora never finds out, and she's sure she was going daft when she started seeing floating objects. Poor girl! I felt so sorry for her.

Eventually Jane meets Nate, Devlin's friend, and they fall madly in love. (She learns how to walk again, of course.) Devlin's falcon also falls in love with Eden's parrot! What a riot! This book kept me laughing all the way through, the high adventure made me hold my breath, and the sweet romance made me sigh. This is an excellent book, with lively, amusing characters that will stay in your mind and heart long after you finish reading this book. This book makes you believe that destiny never gives up on you, even if you're sure it has and it also shows you that love doesn't discriminate.
