A must for country music lovers!
This was a great book for its time. It is unfortunate that errors in the galleys suggested by the author were not corrected. Sales suffered as a result. The book should be updated.

Though a children's book, this biography of the First Family of Country Music will be of interest to music fans of all ages.

I would encourage everyone who dreams of being a part of today's country music industry to read this book about the genre's pioneers. The Carters had staying power.

Many of today's country-music fans and even most people on Music Row don't know their country-music history. Boning up with Stacy Harris' book would be the place to start!

A wonderful country music children's book!
This book was published simultaneously with my book, *The Carter Family.* It is heavy with "Hee Haw" stars since there wasn't much information available at the time I wrote it on such greats as Sarie & Sally, JamUp and Honey, Dr. Lew Childre and others. Now that the Country Music Hall of Fame library has more information, due to popular demand, I would love to update this book for an interested publisher.
