"Tough Times Never Last, But Tough People Do!" and the "Be Happy Attitudes" are the best of Robert Schuller. I give out the Tough Times book to friends in tough times. It was a real help to me, and the folks I talk to find it helpful. Easy to read, easy to remember, and eay to apply. This book has the 'how tos' that are needed in the real world -- not high sounding theory.

This book was written to help us learn how to cope with our tough times, but i think it can also help us in the good times too. There is a small line in my thinking between good times and bad. It all has to do with attitude. What kind of attitude do we have? Are we happy in all that happens to us in life? It's very easy to be up beat and happy in the goodtimes, but what does it take to make us joyful in the bad times? This book can help out in our programing ouselves to be happy in all times. May i please suggest this book to everyone.

This is only the second of Schuller's books that I've read and I am already noticing his uncanny knack for making you put your life into perspective. In "Life's not Fair but God is Good", Schuller relates more stories about himself, the people he's known, and the difficult situations they've all worked their way out of, through faith and positive thinking.

Unlike other motivational authors, Schuller doesn't so much tell you how to "change" your life, as much as he shows you how to make the best of the life you now live. "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" as they say. Reading about some of the situations Schuller and many of his longtime friends have dealt with in their lives, only to come out better people, it increasingly makes me feel as if my biggest source of stress and tribulation, that being my work, is really nothing to take personally. A job is just a job and in reality, the rest of my life is going just fine. There are some people who not only don't have a job, but who couldn't work anyway because of some health problem. Schuller seems to know a lot of the folks who were able to figure out how to do what they love, in spite (or because) of their health or other such obstacles.

Pick up "Life's not Fair, but God is Good". I also recommend "If it's Going to Be, it's Up to Me". This kind of pseudo-therapy from Robert Schuller at the small cost of his books is a steal.

In the past four months life has dealt my family some severe blows and I wish I had read this book two months ago. It still had a profound effect on how I will view my future but it would have helped me get on the right track sooner. It will help you understand that God is really Good and not our enemy. Rev. Schuller explains with simple examples and simple words how our attitude toward the "unfair events of our lives" can be turned into the most rewarding and enriching times. He helps us to understand that giving thanks to God is the key to finding peace and our way in this earthly life. His message shows that finding God replaces the emptiness and the fear of what might happen. I recommend this book to anyone who is facing challenges in their lives or has recently lost someone dear to them. I bought this book two weeks ago and have already shared it with two friends.

Reverand Schuller has done it again. This is a sensational book. I received this book from my father a few months ago. After reading just the first page, I was totally captivated by it. Reverand Schuller gives hope to everyone, no matter what their religion or belief. This book has made me laugh, cry and literally drop my chin to the floor. Reverand Schuller shows us that no matter what our situation may be, there is always a brighter side with God showing us the way.

THIS BOOK HAS BROUGHT ME SO FAR FROM MISERY AND PAIN. HOW TOO BELIEVE SOLEY ON THE LORD. HOW TOO PRAY, AND BELIEVE WITHOUT A DOUBT. THE POWER OF PRAYER IS STRONG, FOR ANY SOUL WHO HAS DOWNS AND OUTS. WHO CAN'T SEEM TO GET IT TOGETHER, READ WHOLE HEARTLY, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION, FEEL HIS LOVE AND SPIRIT, BELIEVE, AND SEE THE CHANGE. READ, UNDERSTAND, LITERALY, THERE IS POWER IN PRAYER, IF YOU JUST BELIEVE.

Spurgeon goes straight to the heart of the issue before you even open the book. He explains to the reader in no uncertain terms what God requires of His children and what He is willing to bestow upon them for their obedience. Spurgeon is a timeless writer although at times (most!) he makes for some very intense reading. I have read other solid books on prayer but this is the best.

This will pierce your heart with the truth's of God's love and abounding, overflowing grace towards those who He has saved by the work Jesus did and completed on the Cross for our salvation.

God's Word gives us all we need and Spurgeon points out how we can cloth ourselves in the armor the Lord has given us. This book is a must for your collection~ Jesus is Victor~and He has fought and won the battle for us~ now stand !

Charles Spurgeon is amazingly right on target even in today's world. Apparently, what we are missing today was missing 100 years ago. It is hard for the average Believer to let God rule his life, but from reading Spurgeon's sermons, I see the rewards for allowing the Holy Spirit to be in control. This is a book to live in, not just to read. I enjoy seeing the love Spurgeon has for the Lord and his commitment to letting the Holy Spirit control, teach, mentor, nudge, urge, and reward him. This book has been a great support to my worship of the Trinity.

At a mere 153 pages, Rev. Hall delivers a power-packed example of the Holy Spirit's gifts and functions. A great new source of information and many examples that offered new hope and purpose to the reader. Not an in-depth theological treatment of the subject - light reading that would be good for a devotional series.
