I love this book! I have learned so much reading about these strong, brave, loving and ever so forgiving people. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

This book on the life of Rees Howells is a must read for anyone desiring greater intimacy with God through prayer. I have read the book twice, the second time after searching for it for almost two years. The simplicity and profoundness of this man,s prayer life demonstrates that God simply desires for us to love and reverence Him out of purity of heart. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to be spiritually revived.

The first time I attempted to read this book, I could not read more than a chapter or two without having to put it down. Of all the books I have ever read, except for the Bible, no book has challenged me more than has REES HOWELLS INTERCESSOR. Setting aside my personal theological differences I cannot but be challenged by the dedication of this prayer warrior. His life, his struggles, his apparent failures, and his triumphs, all call me out of my comfort zone to a life of greater commitment to the God I serve. The conviction of that challenge was what kept interrupting my reading. Only when I was ready to subject myself to the same death to self-will Rees Howells endured was I able to go back and read some more. A chapter or two at a time I walked through the life of Rees Howells. More than a reading, this book is an experience.

This book, next to the bible - has the ability to change your life. I did not know it was possible for God to so rule and reign in another life. I and others have used the term "intercessor" so loosly. When you read about this humble man of God, and you understand how he came to this walk and the different levels he came to and what he gave up and then received from the Lord. It brings you to contemplate what God could do in you, if you allowed it. Hard questions surface - such as: Does God want to use me in this way? How much of "self" has not been dealt with by the Lord? Must it truly take a lifetime to give up "self" or can one endeavor through prayer in a conserted effort - give up self much more quickly - as Rees Howells did. Finally, I've had to ask myself if I even know of an intercessor - here on this earth - if "fruit" continues to be the test. This is one of the most annointed books, I have ever read. I continue to read it over and over again, that the Lord may deal with me. Excellent

...which is a good thing, since I don't (and don't care to) know about the sport. The testimony of Studd, his many mission fields, how he proposed to his future wife, the circumstances of his death, are great reading and an inspiration to all Christians.

A great biography! A great cricket player who gave his life whole-heartedly to the Lord and was greatly used by Him. I don't know much about cricket, but I like sports, and really enjoyed and was challenged by this book!
