Business means information processing. Unfortunately we don't communicate in the standardized way a computer does. Not two person have the same set of words or their meanings in their head. THerefore it's extremely importent to have accurate and detailed communication process and to know how to find the 'hidden', the unspoken of peaces. This book will help you with that.

Well, I don't know how the author is capable of in class or how he can handle students in challenging situations. I can only judge the book based on my reading. Out of the many trainer/teacher books I have read, this is the worst one. First, it's extremely hard to comprehend, and second, it's too biased in its application.

As good trainers can tell you classroom management is more than just applying a few psychological tricks. It requires a great deal of instructional design, good materials, comfortable environment, etc.

The best teacher I have ever had is the one who cares and willing to go the extra miles. Do I get this out of this grinding book? Of course, not.

I have had the opportunity to be personally trained by Michael Grinder and I can tell you for certain, He is no joke, nor is his work! He has put a lot of time and effort into this project and there is a reason for literally EVERYTHING he has done in this book. Those individuals writing poor reviews about this book either know NOTHING about classroom management, or have NEVER read the book. The $25 this book is currently selling for is not enough. I have taught several years in a high impact school where classroom management skills were a must. Nothing helped me more than reading, and USING the multiple skills presented in Michael Grinder's book. If you are looking for an invaluable classroom management tool (with the proven research principles of Neurolinguistic Programming woven throughout), then you should look no further than ENVoY: Your Personal Guide To Classroom Management.

Michael is one of the most perceptive and effective presenters that I've personally experienced. Short of such a privilege to model after him in person, this book is an excellent substitute or beginning to learning the very subtle non-verbal skills for any presenter or classroom management.

Another hard-to-read book by Michael Grinder. I have bought this book from an used bookstore in Berkeley. Bad choice. The only thing I find useful in the book is the author's sincerity in making a positive change in the education system. Good effort but no deliverable results.

I have a "right-brained" child, now 14, who has struggled in the classroom. Michael's book was extremely useful in helping me to understand the different learning styles and my child, as well as understanding the teaching culture and how it changes as a child goes through the primary, middle, and high school years. Michael has armed me with knowledge to communicate with teachers in a respectful way that has positively influenced their perception of my daughter and her learning differences. When I win a the lottery - :) - I will set up a foundation to fund teacher training by Michael. Since that probably won't happen, I hope to one day bring Michael's work to the southeast through our education foundation.

I found this book to be particularly useful in explaining how children end up out in the corridor with the teacher giving up on them. The way in which children learn is very important and Michael has done a great job in showing how children differ.

I don't usually write bad review for books. But this grinding book by Grinder is miserable. The English is poor, and the book does not carry any substance. Poetry is meant to be enjoyed, and not to space people out. Use an editor next time.
