ONE OF MANY BOOKS ABOUT SARAH
When one ones to know the degry of celebrity an artist has earned over the years following her death, just check out the numerous biographies published about the person.SARAH BERNHARDT is the most famous actress of her time;she played many roles of the repertoire ,and she also created many like ROSTAND's L'AIGLON and DUMAS's LA DAME AUX CAMÉLIAS.Like many actresses, she had an eccentric life and she actually made her name with her talent, not her beauty. This book allows you to encounter many important figures like VICTOR HUGO,ALEXANDRE DUMAS,EDMOND ROSTAND and OSCAR WILDE who were part of her life. The book is filled with pictures of the different decades of her life.If you want to read one book about her, this one can satisfy you.Beware of SARAH's memoirs, because it is a well known fact that she enjoyed the art of lying. After reading this,i had this thought.Would SARAH have managed to make the career she had in today's world? My answer is yes, even if in the process, she probably would have cut a few throats of repulsive columnists.

What a life she led!
The list of Misia Sert's friends would read like a who's who of the cultural elite of Paris from the end of the Second Empire-World War II. Lautrec, Picasso, Coucteau, Chanel, the whole Ballet Russe crowd, and of course Proust. She was more a muse than creative genius herself, although she was supposed to have played the piano quite well, something we will never know for sure. This book is an enjoyable read and demonstrates just how wonderful life can be if one is good-looking, wealthy and well-connected.

I didn't care too finish this book
I felt I wasted my money buying it. Wasn't that exciting and they barely paid much attention to Miller who was the gymnast that really won them the gold since she was the highest scorer on the team. Don't buy it.

GREAT BOOK WITH GREAT FACTS
The book tells you all the facts you need to know about the Magnificent 7 and also others like Olga Korbut,Nadia Comaneci,Mary Lou Retton,&Bela Karolyi. It tells you how hard it was to train every day.It definatley inspires you!

An fab book for the whole gym. crowd!
This book was very informative and told me everything I wanted to know about the Mag 7. The dedication of these gymnasts is amazing. As a gymnast myself, I understood the hardships of this great sport, such as missing many social events and being in pain alot. Even if you are not a gymnast, this book will make a sure fan out of you. A great book.

The Cowboy and the Caddy/Fool's Gold
Published in Paperback by Hard Shell Word Factory (1999)
Authors: Erica Arthur and Julie Skerven
Amazon base price: $12.95
Average review score:

Fool's Gold is a good treasure!
FOOL'S GOLD by Julie Skerven is a good romance with a bit of suspense thrown in. Typical of the Harlequin style romances, this one is based in a mythical town in western Wyoming. The suspense is good, the romance tasty, and the setting of a modern day ranch on the verge of becoming a dude ranch is good. A nice read!

Beware of Amazon
This book is in French, but Amazon didn't let me know. I have read the English (original)edition and thought it was great.

A fascinating lady with a fascinating life.
I love this book so much that when I travel it goes with me wrapped in plastic and I like to know it's at the bottom of my bag, the best antidote for a delay at an airport or boredom on a long flight. It's so readable and amusing and informative and funny, yet profound and moving at the same time. It's a marvellous potted history of the arts and who was who and who became who from the end of last century to the end of this. It should never be out of print.

Misia knew how to live, and seemed to have such fun and style whilst doing it, captured beautifully by the authors. They make Misia live again, and with her Diaghilev, Stravinsky, Picasso, Chanel [especially Chanel] to mention but a few. Don't take my word for it, get hold of a copy and read for yourself.

No color pictures
Fist I would say for 75.00 , I would expect color when it comes to showing gold coins in a hard bound edition. The only color is on the paper cover. The book lacks depth in the largest market for collectors, U.S.A. . Not impressive !
