Hope in the Eyes of Youth
Colin isn't having a very good year. Sent to visit relatives in England because his brother has been diagnosed with cancer, he hatches a plan to list the help of the Queen of England. He is certain that she can help him find a doctor who will cure his brother. Needless to say, enlisting the help of royalty is a difficult task. It isn't until he has failed to break into Buckingham Palace and begins to haunt the corridors of hospitals looking for someone who can help him find a cure that he gets the help he needs. The "help" does not come from a physician, but from a man he finds sobbing in the street for his friend who is dying of AIDS. In the relationship that forms between this unlikely pair, Colin discovers that being there for his brother is more important than any cure and that Queens are not always royalty.
excellent
Morris Gleitzman is the best Australian author ever. His books are so realistic in a warped sort of way. Two weeks with the queen is about a boy called colin who is sent to england to stay with his aunt, uncle and cousin. While he is there he tries to find a doctor who can help his brother who is dying of cancer. All Morris Gleitzman's books are really cool. I should know, I've read them all about 3 times. I recommend this book for people between the ages of 9 and 14. Read it today you'll love it!
An uplifting tale of a young boy's acceptance of death
Colin's parents don't know how to explain what's going on with his brother. He was too sick too eat their Christmas dinner, and Colin quickly learns there is a more serious problem. That problem is called cancer, and
this Australian family and their doctors can do nothing to save the boy. Colin's parents decide that he would be better off in London, with his Aunt and Uncle where he won't have to see his brother suffer. Colin disagrees, but he knows that if he can get to London, maybe the Queen will send her best doctor to cure his brother.
After a couple of thwarted trips to Buckingham Palace and a trip to the finest hospital in London, Colin is feeling a bit useless. No one seems to want to help his brother. Then he meets a new friend,Griff, who helps him to understand the importance of being with the person you love when they are ill. Griff teaches Colin through example, as his partner suffers from cancer and the AIDS virus. Learning about relationships and the importance of supporting those you love helps Colin to accept his brother's forthcoming death. Colin realizes that the way he can most help his brother is by goin home to be by his side till the end.

It's an average boring childern's book
This book was really a load of rubish and I don't know why people have raved over it. It's boring and is really a book for quite a young age group. Half the characters in it are really dumb for their age. It's not very good at all.
Blabber mouth
This story is about a girl named Rowena Batts that can't talk. Her father is a apple farmer. Even if she thinks he is the best dad in the world she thinks his shirts are ruining his chances of love, and that his singing voice is ruining her friendship, and she'll stop driving his trator if he doesn't pull his head in.
It's the best book I've ever read.
Mr. Glietzman, Please write more books just like this one. I think the characters are funny. The story is interesting.

The book was good at times but tended to drag on a bit
The book was about a girl named Rowena Batts who was born mute so she used sign language and writing to comunicate. Rowena was given a Cockatoo which had been abused by its previous owner a boy named Darren Peck. The Cockatoo was quite distressed when he was given to Rowena. Rowena didn't like the cocky much at first because it contiued to destroy the house but over time she grew to love it.
I loved it. Best read yet!
I think that it is a really funny book and the thing that Sticky says like 'Andrew's been sick in the fridge' makes it really funny. This is the third book that I have read by this author and it's the best yet. I am saving up my pocket money to buy more!

Fun Book!
It is about a boy who tries to cheer up his parents. His parents were misery guts which means depressed. They were not able to make money in England. He tried again and again and again to cheer them up. One of his schemes had disastrous results. Keith tries to find a way to persuade his parents to go to Australia where he believes they will be happy. Who knew that that Australia had crocodiles, poisonous jelly fish, and lots of other dangerous creatures? Read it to find out what happens next. This was a very fun and humorous book!
