Negotiations is a minor classic.
This is a must read for all people that are interested in black-white relations in america. Its been awhile since I've read it, but the basic premise about black secession/separation being put up for a vote is a brilliant one.
This is not exactly a fast-paced book, but what it lacks in pacing it makes up for in subject matter and certain characterizations.
