Excellent Teacher Resource!
An excellent source for teachers. Helps to bring the often overlooked kinestetic realm into the classroom. Lessons are easy to impliment and adapt into any subject area. They can be easly taught by someone with no dance experience, and quickly referenced for last minute lessons and time filler activities. Or, center your lesson or unit around them. They give students an excellent understanding of the material as well as making it interesting and exciting for them. Highly Recomended!

A complete guide to teaching creative dance
This is an excellent book for anyone interested in teaching creative dance, whether you have dance experience yourself or not. The book provides a thorough overview of what creative dance is and how to teach it. There are hundreds of dance exercises included, as well as sample lesson plans and useful suggestions for how to structure your classes. As a dance teacher, I have found this book to be the most helpful I've encountered -- I use it constantly!

A beautiful book
I love this book -- it's full of wisdom and literary snippets on walking, makes me think even more than I usually do on my hikes. Makes me feel the profundity of such a simple act, setting one foot in front of the other, over the earth. I like to read it before I set out and after I come back. It's a real treasure.

House of Dreams
I read an Anne of Green Gables many, many years ago and immediatly fell in love. At once, I went out and bought the entire series, loving each book more than the one before. This is a line of books I would highly recommend to anyone, of any age. It is truly my favorite set of books. No matter how many times I have read it...and my first copy had fallen apart years ago...I laugh and cry just as hard as I did the first time. Anne of Green Gables 2, or Anne's House of Dreams, is a wonderful story of a couple just starting out in marriage. Moving from their friendly town of Avonlea, they started out anew, in a little cottage by the seashore. Gilbert, Anne's husband, is a young doctor, beginning his practice. They make many new friends, each more interesting than the last. There is even a mystery to unravel in their midst! Romance galore, love, friendship and dreams unfold before our eyes. Even when we read of their tragedies, we hurt along with them, feeling their pain. That is how well this book is written. Read it, enjoy it and buy the whole set. You will never regret it!

NICE!
Anne of Green Gables is one of the first books to make me fall in love...with it. I mean, it was cute, it was lesson teaching (hehe, that sounds strange), and Anne was just such a good character. She sort of reminded me of me: bad temper (I've gotten much cooler now, haha), big words, amazing imagination, smart (haha, well, I was and am PRETTY SMART, at least, I think, haha). Gilbert reminded me of this guy at school...haha, well, I won't get into details there, but the book was charming, and I've already read it over four times in only like three years, which is sort of alot. I loved this book, and I believe that many other people will learn to appreciate its cuteness and truth and stuff over the years, hehe. Enjoy!

Pure delight!!
When I first read this book many years back, I loved it, and was sad for it to end when I finished reading it. I loved every single part of it...I simply couldn't put it down. Anne is such a character...you can't help liking her more and more, and wishing that she was your own "bosom friend" just as I did. While reading, I was transported back to that time, and I could just see Avonlea and Green Gables, the school which Anne studied in, and I could see Diana and Miss Stacy and Gilbert just as if they were my own friends.

I loved this book, and read it many times over again after I first picked it up, and it still delighted me. Lucy Maud Montgomery is a stunning writer, and I believe that she must have been like Anne, for no one could create such a realistic character and write everything that poured out of Anne's mouth...her made up stories, the things that she she thought of, her wild yet delightful imagination...all in all, Anne of Green Gables is one of the finest books I've ever read, and were ever written. I strongly recommend it to anyone, old or young. Everyone can relate to Anne and she could make you smile like she did for me.

A Good Supplement to Use Along With Other Reviw Books
I bought this book and the Kaplan Sci_Hi review book as well. I am a parent and have been going through the books with my daughter. The Zimmerman book offers helpful test strategies and study exercises. However, the practice tests have some mistakes and some of the questions are poorly written. The practice tests are not actual items from previous tests, but are constructed to be similar in difficulty. However, the practice test questions in this book were more difficult than the tests in the Kaplan book, and in the student handbook put out by the NYC Board of Education. The Kaplan book and Bd. of Ed. practice tests are actual items from previously used tests, and are therefore a better gauge of the test's level of difficulty. They are also free of errors. I recommend buying the Zimmerman book for the study tactics and study exercises. However, the Kaplan book provides better practice tests, as well as good study information. If you can only get one, get Kaplan. Also, the Bd. of Ed. puts out a free student handbook to the specialized high schools with 2 practice exams ihcluded.

Too much Errors : But a good book.
This book is great! The 2 reasons i gave this a 3 is that this book has OVER 15 mistakes. My teacher checked this book and found an incorrect answer. I found a lot of typing errors. Look at the back of the book , they spelled competitive wrong as competitve, spelled soldiers as soliders, mistake the letter
Z for Q. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE , 111/333 is equal to 1/3 not less than 1/3. The second reason is that my friends did not even
pass the Specialized High School test, using the book. If this book did not have so many mistake, I will rate this book a 4+.

Hope my sister gets in
I got into Brooklyn Tech without the benefit of this book. I missed Bronx Science by 8 points. I feel that if I had this book, I might have gotten into all three high schools. Now, it is my litte sister's turn to take the test. She hates math a lot but has built a tolerance for it through this book. She has been doing well on the verbal section which has made me extremely happy. I think she nearly aced the verbal part on the last practice. Her only problem was scrambled paragraphs but she is now acing those too thanks to this book. Give yourself at least six months to study unless u know that u can get in with little or no preparation.

Good organism specific embryology text
This text is a great tool for anyone studying a particular organism. Rather than having a topical organization like most embryology texts, this book organizes chapters by organism. I found it very useful in my undergraduate research on the development of the sea urchin, because all of the information I needed was all in one place, whereas other embryology texts had me searching through chapter upon chapter to find what I was looking for. While it is not the most desirable text for learning the principles of embryology, I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking at the development of a specific organism.

Embryology of a spectrum of organisms
This reference, suitable for the interested general reader, does not stress developmental biological principles of a few studied animals, but rather, presents the embryology of the range of multicellular organisms, from sponges to mammals to plants. The reference starts with an overview of metazoan development and larvae. Chapters on the development of mesozoans, poriferans, cnidarians, and ctenophorans then follow. The development of platyhelminthes and nematodes is then presented. The protostome coelomates are then discussed, with chapters on the development of nemerteans, sipunculans and echiurans, gastropods, annelids, arthropods, and lophophorates. The deuterostome coelomates are then discussed, with chapters on the development of echinoderms, tunicates, cephalochordates, fishes, amphibians, reptiles and birds, and mammals. The reference concludes with a chapter on plant life cycles.

Perfect for Beginners
This book is good if you are just getting into antique research or you are just starting to explore antiques. It doesn't bombard you with things to look for just tells you strong featues to be aware of when your shopping for antiques. It also has a number of interesting stories from other antique experts who also offer some advise in their own fields,i.e. silver and rugs. The qorum I find with is that its kinda old.

Very unhelpful
This book was amazingly unhelpful to me. It touches too briefly on too many different aspects of quilt collecting, without going into depth on anything. For example, included is a list of names of common quilt patterns, with no pictures or diagrams to tell you which pattern is which. What pictures there are are black and white and too small to show anything in detail. I'm not sure what kind of expert I'm supposed to be after reading this book, but it's not the kind of expert who knows anything!

I would stay away from this book. There are other titles that are much better.
