I am the author of JEREMY GRABOWSKI'S CRAZY SUMMER IN STORMVILLE! The characters in "One Thing For Sure" became vivid in my mind as I read and the story was interesting. Dylan's life in the coastal town of Seaview, Oregon is realistic and I felt as if I was there too in the story. I think other readers will agree that it takes talent to write a story like this one! I was anxious to find out how the summer turned out for Dylan. Dylan is devastated because his father is in prison for illegally cutting timber. Dylan is in a mess with his former friends. They dislike Dylan and give him a hard time because of his father's crime. Dylan's plan to remedy the situation with his former friends was hilarious! Both boys and girls will like this one! A well-woven story! Great Book David!

This novel follows the story of a high school student who realizes that his two close friends have an eerie resemblance to his diseased parents. The first oddity was that they all share the same birthday, but as he learns more about his parents through treasured artifacts, he cannot deny the uncanny personality resemblace. He learns about re-birth, also known as reincarnation and and then it hits him: will his friends re-live the horrible events his parents did? Find out in this great books for teenagers. In my opinion, this is a rare find as it starts out as an ordinary book but turns into something suspenseful, engaging, and even educational! I liked it because the author seems to use just the right words to express emotions and it keeps you reading to the last page!

I have 5 children and one who lies somewhere on the autistic spectrum just like Ben. My two boys are sometimes embarrassed by their brother. When we checked this book out of the library, they wanted to read it again and again because we could relate to so many parts of the story. It gave me a great way to talk to my kids about their feelings and it gave us all a sense of humor about some of the stranger things my son does. I highly recommend this book for anyone searching for a way to discuss a developmentally disabled child with siblings. It is light-hearted and a great story but also very realistic about the issues and emotions involved in having a sibling who is "different".
