If you liked this book, you should also read "Meet Canadian Authors and Illustrators" by the same author. Great information and well written.

I bought this book a few months ago and it's great. Every page has a colorful photo of the skater and on the back is small article and a mini profile with their accomplishments. Then there are some pages which tell you about scoring, different jumps (the most descriptive words I've ever read of jumps! Now I can differentiate between all of the different ones!), about skates, and more. I've enjoyed this book, but it's not the best ice-skating book I've read yet. (To me, it should have more skaters and more length articles.)Give it a try, it is certainly worth the money
