Finally, a Bible for Evidenced Based Therapy
Nathan and Gorman have provided mental health practitioners with an essential reference. No practitioner of psychotherapy or psychiatric chemotherapy can afford not to buy this book (purchase price notwithstanding). This compendium reviews treatments for major psychological disorders and offers effect size estimates for the benefits of treatment (i.e., how much better off are people after treatment than if they got no treatment at all). In addition, the authors summarize the quality of the research on which their reviews are based. They not only examine psychologically based treatments, but also medication treatments for some disorders. All practitioners and consumers should read this. As a faculty member in a clinical psychology graduate training program, I recommended this book to my students as optional reading - and almost all of them bought it because they found it invaluable. I hope this authors will choose to update this book every ten years ago (it is very recent, so it needs no updating now). If they do, I have no doubt that Nathan and Gorman will come to be inextricably associated with this monumentally practical work, the way that Gray is associated with Anatomy. Kudos to the authors for giving us this essential reference.

Excellent guide to therapies and their effectiveness
The authors have done a great job of summerizing the effectiveness of a wide range of behavioral health therapies from medications to systematic desensitization and more. Clear and easy to follow. Great book!

Mentally Stimulating
I have read other books on mental disease and found this one easy to read and understand without all the psychiatric jargon. The book was concise, clear, and gave both a psychosocial,as well as a psychopharmacological perspective. I recommend this book without any reservations.

[a] masterpiece
This book is really really good. I didn't know what to think when I got it in the mail. It was my first Gorman experience. First off, these are the woman that we see everyday of our lives. The woman that walk past us on the street. They are all in private living situations. The privace of their own homes, or so it seems. Some of the models are clothed, some not, some half undressed, but what is nice is they are all very very different. There are unattractive, very attractive models and models of all races.

Gorman captures these woman in the situations that we all go though during the week. Photos of woman in the shower, eating, sitting, even masterbating. This is a very [explicit] book. Period. I loved it. After buying this book, I am going off to get his first book "Naked in Apartment 7".

The only flaw I found in this book was its size. It is about the size of a trade paperback book. Pretty small. So some of the pictures you have to strain to see, and some that take up two pages, you will find the model right smack in the crease of the book, ruining the picture. Other than that small complaint I have, I loved the book. Add this to you collection.

Gorman Is No One Trick Pony
I have Peter Gorman's first book "Naked in Apartment 7" and when I heard he had another book coming out I was thrilled to see more of this man's work. What I did not expect was it to be so different from his first book and different it is, this work is in color and has more of a snap shot feel but the moments of catching his naked models in their own apartments is beyond exciting. To see these women in what seems to be very real moments, I have to say is all the more intriguing. The women are beautiful and the photos are alive. Highly recommended.

Sorry to be anonymous, but where I am from this book and these photos would not be understood as art.

another great addition to my recommended photo albums list
If you ever tried to take pictures in a real-life environment, in a small apartment, not in studio, you could know it's not the easiest thing to do to make it looking interesting. Look through this book. It's so simple, and it's so... art.

Nude photography in a tiny apartment
A small hardcover book (215x215x15mm) published by the Goliath Verlag and printed in Germany.
Pages (about 160) are un-numbered and all pictures are monochrome.
The opening of the book contains a small multilingual introduction by Reed Massengill briefly describing the photographer Peter Gorman and his work.

All models depicted are female and in some of the photos the artist is visible either directly or via a tv-screen. However he's not nude in apartment 7 himself even if all the models are partially or completely undressed. Some of the models are present in several pictures(up to 15 photos of the same model.

I find a big variation in the work. Some of the poses have a likness to views seen in adult magazines, some show definitively movement, and some have an abstract stillness to them.
Several of the photos are very interesting and many are sadly not.

The book was worth studying, but for me it is not a keeper.

I want more
This is a book that needs a sequel. I can not get enough of the photographs in this book. Each model and her placement in the setting is a story in itself. I feel that I am seeing the true nature of each women when it comes to pleasing themselves. Not all of the models are as explicit as others, but this is what gives the book a wide range. I find myself changing favorites every time I open Naked in Apartment 7 "she is my favorite... no she is my favorite... no wait this is my favorite photo..." and on and on. Like a good movie it makes you wonder: where are the characters now? what happened in the scenes that follow the ending? can't it just keep going on? why does it have to end? My two cents.

Intimacy in Apartment 7 - the vulnerable and the brash
I have rarely seen nude photographs with the intimacy shown in these images. The models, dance students I believe, interact directly with the camera and also with the viewer. At their most brash they are also most vulnerable. The photographer has made something special here. He has somehow made an image of a living woman which opens that woman to our view on several levels. She is first of all and clearly alive. This is no magazine-fetish-mannikin-supermodel. This is a living, breathing woman. She is taking a pose, displaying herself for the camera; but she is also revealing herself in a way that few of us have ever seen. And yet, unlike the experience of other books of images, I do not come away with the sense that I was a voyeur, taking something. I felt like a participant, sharing something. This was a remarkable book.

Good only for project managers and planning
If you're looking to learn about the full lifecycle and tecnical ins and outs of ASIC design and development, look elsewhere. This book is intended for project managers who need to plan an ASIC project (and for that, it's ok), not for engineers who need to learn technical details.
