Okay..but gets worse as you go along
I found the history part very facinating. But after a while it simply starts listing and listing journals and indexs and book reviews. I suppose if you are majoring in Library Science, then perhaps it might be usefull, otherwise I wouldn't buy it.

Very good; Well written and easy to understand, needs update
I am preparing to teach a course in Library Use. This is an great text book although I would like to see it updated to include the Internet.

Este libro me ha ayudado a realizar mis labores como bibliotecaria y me ha ayudado grandemente a dar servicio en la misma. Creo que toda persona que este haciendo la preparación en el área de la biblioteca debe de tener, no solo este libro sino todos aquello que la Sra. Gates ha hecho debido a que ayudan grandemente a la preparación y realización como estudiante a bibliotecario.
