For those who need it, this book can help to improve basic writing skills. It is very useful for ESL students or anyone struggling with the writing portion of the CBEST test. It has a mix of practical grammar and practice exercises, with answers.

I teach a GED course and I find all the books in this series to be a valuable resource to anyone trying to obtain their GED. All of these books have excellent lessons and sample tests. These books are highly recommended.

I have read the book and think it is excellent. Iam a 25 year old male and I have visited the House of Prayer in Achill Co.Mayo,the ''HOUSE OF TRUTH" set up by Christina. A year ago I wouldn't have taken any heed of Our Lady's messages but having been to the "HOUSE OF PRAYER" my whole life has changed! Christina is a sincere,genuine,loving,warm and saintly woman who has only been trying to do what Our Lady has asked her to do. I think it is terrible that this wonderful person has received so much rejection from the Irish people. I have met with Christina on a number of occasions. She speaks the TRUTH and people have just got to listen to her messages from heaven before it is too late! Iwas down in the House of Prayer last weekend (12th of November) and Christina's message was very strong! Her most recent message from Our Lady tells us that this millenium or year of the millenium will see the world and Ireland brought to it's knees! Christina warns us of two countries in the world joining forces and spreading their errors throughout the entire world. When this happens so much suffering will come about. Christina pleaded with us last Saturday not to wait for the millenium to change our lives. She strongly says CHANGE YOUR LIVES NOW! ,while there is still time. We were asked to spread this very important message. So, whoever reads my review please take heed of this very serious message and tell as many people as you possibly can. If people are able to get to the "House of Prayer" in Achill Sound Co. Mayo please go as if you are in a state of grace you will receive the seal of the BLOOD OF JESUS,a very special seal for the times we are living in,which is of course the apocalypse. This is an excellent guidebook - packed with information, beautifully phrased, and obviously written by someone with a great knowledge and love of the city. The author's enthusiasm is infectious and you feel as though you are strolling the streets in the company of a knowledgeable and delightful friend.

This book really intrigued me when I read it at only ten years old. It tells the story of three brothers, two of which build the sand castle, and one who thinks deeper than the sand. Claudelle goes and finds seashells to look up the names of in his books in his room when he gets back from the beach. Then Mary Stolz (the author) describes the sea life living around them. It is very interesting and teaches you a lot for a book with less than 50 pages. It has great illustrations by Susan Gallagher that help tell the story. Overall a great book for a fifth-sixth grader. And even now, at 16, 6 years later, I can still read it and be affected. Great book.

Quicksilver is one of the best books I've ever read. It's suspenceful plots and sub-plots bring you on a terrifying journey with every turn of the page. Although the book is gruesome you will learn to except these things along with the main character.

The moral issues learned by reading this novel are overwhelming. The bond betwen the main characters show just how important trust and acceptence are in a relationship. It is definitly worth while. Mary Gallagher presents everything in such a way that you will believe all she writes in this novel.

This is a book about a sacramental marriage (Catholic theme) and the passion and sexual love in a Christian marriage. WOW!

This is not just a book for Christians! It is eye opening, straight talk about the passionate love in a marriage. It will surprise you and challenge you.

Sexual passion is the cornerstone of a marriage. When we marry, we give ourselves to our spouse. Our body, will and thoughts are no longer exclusively our own, they belong to our beloved. Neither husband nor wife should deny the other the physical expression of sex. From this will come the intimacy and communication that most women want. A man has difficulty opening himself up to his wife when she controls all the sexual intimacy. It becomes a division of power. The wife controls the sexual intimacy and the husband controls the verbal intimacy.

The author advocates 1/2 hour of SSPT (Skin-to-Skin Prime Time) every day. Couples seldom find time during the prime energy period (during the day) for sexual intimacy with our spouse and we should. It is unfair to make sexual passion wait until the end of the day when both are tired and without much energy.

Sexual passion should exist in all parts of the marriage. This means hugs, kisses and touch and even some talk about it outside of the bedroom. It should not be hidden from others and relegated to the bedroom. It should be evident for all to see that we have a deep passion for each other. This passion is an emulation of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit in deep passionate unifying love. A Christian marriage should be a very passionate thing and sexual love is the most important form of love in a marriage.

I encourage people to read the book. This book will give every reader a new view on the passion that is possible within a marriage.

Wish this one were still in print. It's a delightful story about a fed-up young woman from Ohio who impulsively decides to stay on in Paris after her European vacation has ostensibly ended. She gets a job as an au pair caring for the French Bad Seed... and the story manages to be both laugh-out-loud funny and heart-tugging. Gallagher's other books are worth a look too, but this one's a real gem.

I'm happy to recommend this book - it's quite useful. The first half of the book is tips, the second half is 80 full-length essay exam with model answers. The tips section is built on Gallagher's essay writing "system" which is basically the IRAC system which every law student uses, modified into CRAC. Her "model paragraph" system is quite useful, and something that I wish I had learned about earlier in my law school career. The only downside is that the book was written in '96, and while substantively the information isn't out-of-date, it would be nice if it wasn't so old.

I bought this book from Half.com, then ended up taking the essay course taught by the author, Dr. Mary Gallagher, in NYC. Made all the difference. Her course directly reflected the method that she describes in her book. If essays are your weakness, using her method should make a positive difference.

This became my bible planning my family's vacation, and included all the information I needed including accommodations, activities for kids, area events and recreation. The book includes a history of each area,which I found of special interest. It made planning my trip so easy to do...I highly recommend it!
