Praise for the Frosts
First I simply have to say, "satan from with you" and "Cary Pond", you are both terribly ignorant. Try reading something away from the propaganda cesspool sometime to correct that. How about taking a class in English while you're at it.
Wicca of course has nothing to do with Satan worship or demon worship, etc. The Frosts are courageous people who made a stand against religious ignorance and bigotry in this country and won. The Church of Wicca is a federally protected religion (not a cult), and is recognized as such by the Supreme Court. Harassing them is now considered a crime ranging from a "hate incident" to a "terrorist act". They do a great amount of community service and aid for the needy, as well as for severely ill people in hospitals. They are a deserved pride to the community.
As for their books, those who are interested in this religion should take a look at them. They may give you a different perspective to work from. They may seem a bit eclectic, and their viewpoint is geared toward a common understanding so that anyone can learn, so many can appreciate their kind of developed direction. Those who are comfortable in their own tradition may not want this particular brand of instruction, however keep in mind that there are many paths to understanding.

The pegans write another masterpiece
Astral projection (out-of-body experiences) has been used by devil worshipers throughout history. The Witchcraft religion is based on astral projection. Look up Witchcraft and astral projection on the web and read about it.

Gavin and Yvonne Frost founded the church and school of Wicca. Wicca is the name given to the modern day practice of Witchcraft. They wrote many books on wicca and their demonic way of writing is what makes this book good!!!!

THIS BOOK IS EVIL
This is a great detailed book on astral projection.

I also liked it because Gavin and Yvonne Frost founded the Church and School of Wicca and wrote many books on it. Look their names up at Amazon.com. Wicca is modern day practice of Witchcraft. It's the evil Satan worshiping Pagan Occult.

Astral projection is proof that Christianity is false because it's proof that Jesus had a Near Death Experience and not a resurection. And it's proof on reincarnation and not creation.

THIS BOOK IS EVIL!!!!

Horrible
Stay away from these people, they fluff up their books full of make believe B.S. and psychodrama... mostly geared towards the teens and the easily influenced. Instructions include how to make your own lightsabre and use the Force. (I am your father Luke) Puhhhhh-leassseee. Don't bother looking for it, it's out of print for a reason. It's drivel.

Examines the secret codes, symbols and charms
Two leading authorities in the occult provide in A Witch's Grimoire, a revised, updated collection which examines the secret codes, symbols and charms which are the foundation of white magic. Individual chapters describe how these amulets and spells can relate to a positive daily life, and provide new charts and artwork in this new and highly recommended edition.

a true classic
For the life of me I can't understand what the criticisms of this book are about. Sure everyone has a right to their opinion but the negative review(s) of this book don't make sense. I've looked over many books on wicca and witchcraft and the Frosts are about the only good ones. I have several of their books such as Astral Travel and the magic power of witchcraft which I consider to be truly great books. This book deals with the making of talismans and amulets, how to observe omens and portents, a truly magical method of meditation, how to keep healthy with talismans, ward off evil, etc. There are also several suggestions on making and using talismans and amulets for every need you have. The many books on witchcraft written have little substance, while the Frosts books are full of substance. In parting let me offer a word to the wise. Ophiel wrote in his book: The theory and practice of creative visualization I believe, that all the secrets of the occult are all in books. Only those who deeply study them and get behind the meaning of the words will find them. If this is true there are really only few true occultists and the Frosts appear to be among them. Most are missing the forest for the trees.

this one seemed inappropriate
FYI this book contains instructions which seem to advocate inappropriate sexual behavior, which could be considered abuse, of minors in the preparation for and during the iniation ceremony of their particular tradition.

What is life worth?
I was introduced to this book in the late seventies when my life was shattered by drugs. The insights and beliefs into the wiccan way of life serve me to this day.

Great Guide for beginers like me
I'm just a beginer in witchcraft, but this book helped me alot! I'm solitary, so I couldnt ask anyone for help, nor could I find another witch. So I saw this book, Thats what I needed! It helped me alot! I learned more then I could just asking around, and I wouldnt be thought of as "evil" to neighbors (gossip is evil). If you want help starting out, this is the book for you! Blessed Be!

Don't be fooled
There are many better books out there for the beginner or any practitioner of witchcraft. Not only is it very corny it is a general waste of time to read, and the "personal accounts" sound a bit questionable to me. If you are interested however, here are the subjects covered: Spells, developing your own "magic witchcraft power" (quotations mine), you can always win as witches do, healing, companionship, domination of others, astral travel, talking to the dead, and wealth magnets. ...

Dianetics for Wiccans
Although the feel-good energy of the writing style often brings to mind a new-age self-help book from the mid eighties, this is a wonderful book for beginners. It's not bad for more advanced practitioners to have on hand, either - both because of the real-world advice that is given (some of which no longer applies, some of which is more timely than ever). The Frost couple use Witch Power as a catch-all description for the art of winning friends and influencing people - much of the advice is applied psychology, rather than spells and incantations - and I have never encountered better advice for new students of the craft.

There is, of course, plenty of information in the spells and incantations category - most of it simple and easy to understand. I heartily recommend this book as a basic occult primer.

A great book for the beginner
I purchased the book from the authors with my alowance when i was young and looking for my religion when i was younger. Not only did i find what i was searching for, but it helped me in finding my path in life. It is clear and concise for those who don't really know what magic is about. If it was still in print I would recommend it as a must have for any magical library for all beginners who are searching for where to begin.

Just like the others
This book is just like the rest of Frost & Frost Inc.'s "books". Total hogwash. The problem with modern paganism/wicca is that people like Gavin and Yvonne just write whatever their little hearts desire and make a huge profit from selling people junk.

Outstanding Book..it should be in your interest to read
This is a wonderful book that takes the cake. A book that cannot be compared to other books because of such great detail. Those that are not fans of Frost and Frost...go someplace else, those that think that Frost and Frost are "fakes"...one question?....did you really "read" the book with an open mind?...if you answer that then all is spoken. Please be sure to read this, cause some of the stuff in this book you wont be able find in Bucklands nor Cunningham books...you'll be surprised.

If you want to be Harry Potter
This book was very boring, and had a lot of pointless stories about the authors in it. It also seemed to be targeted at silly teenagers who are interested in "Wicca" (quotes, because that's not really what they're interested in) only because they like to fantasize about spells that will make others do what they want. This is not Wicca at all. The worst part of this book even made me laugh-vampires, indeed!

Made for Public consumption
This book was fun to read, unlike Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft which is so full of "I'm so great" rhetoric that it makes me want to retch. I read Scott Cunningham's Wicca:A Practical Guide for the Solitary Practioner first and loved it because it was so easy to read and didn't go into false promises or rituals that some man made up to get his jollies. This book is in the same vein, but made for the non-Wiccan. The magick in the book is watered down enough so that everybody can enjoy and not get nervous. The short stories read like a what-not-to-do handbook that every witch needs. It shows that everybody can make mistakes. The there were two bad things that it promotes their school over and over, and that it is missed named and misrepresented as a beginners guide to witchcraft which it definately isn't. That's why I gave it 3 out of 5 stars.

Not your average
One of the most down-to-earth, practical book on Wicca I've found. It's eclectic and free of the pomp that comes with most books on the topic.

I would recommend it to anyone with an open mind, as much of the information could be helpful to anyone: info on how to set goals (you'd be amazed at how many people can't do it), and how to live more stress-free and happy - then it shows you how to suppliment those actions with mind and spellwork.

You will find no fluffy-bunny stuff in here, no arcane languages, no strange concoctions, and no Christian bashing for the most part ('cause that really bugs me). You WILL find a few homeopathic remedies, light physics of spellwork and energy-raising, some good living advice, a few entertaining anecdotes and a great deal of open-mindedness. Highly recommended for more advanced students.

Absolutely Horrible!!
This is one of the worst books on witchcraft I have ever read. It is sloppily put together and contains an abundance of false information. There are much better books on witchcraft out there.

Not the best beginner book
The Frosts' original book was the impetus for many people who became Witches in past decades. As such, it is of interest to students of the growth of Wicca and Paganism.

However, its reliance on hard-to-find ingredients such as "raw linseed oil" is off-putting to today's beginner, who has many more options in finding a starter Witchcraft book. (Lilith McClelland's "Spell Craft" and Scott Cunningham's "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" come to mind.)

In addition, at least one ritual calls for burning sulfur, which is highly dangerous indoors.

On the right path.
This book, is about Witchcraft. Others here have talked bad about it, and I would have to say that they know little about spirituality if they talk of this book as a 'way to get over on others and nothing to do with wicca'.

This book is about the magickal part of witchcraft, not necessarily the 'religious' part. It's a good primer for someone who is interested more in the magickal 'work' of witchcraft which involves the disciplining of the mind to set the spells to work for you. Worshipping some unseen being, or beings and doing nothing will get your spells no where fast. It takes the focus of the individual mind to get things 'brewing' so to speak. This book deals with that, getting your mind onto the craft part of witchcraft. Although I would rate it a good book, I would also say that it purposely leaves alot incomplete for a beginner, which leads to enrolling in the Frost's course on wicca. (It was the Frosts who used the term 'wicca' first, just to let you others out there know). If you cannot afford the Frost's course, which I am sure it's a good one, but have never studied it myself, then I would suggest some of the Ravenwolf books to get you started. Remember wicca is a male/female religion, and beware of any form which stresses more female over male, or vice-versa as then the balance would be gone.

This is not Tantra
A pretty disgusting reading, unlike any other book on Tantra I've seen. This is far from sacred sexuality. The book contains some valuable information but already known from other texts. The authors are very arrogant, attacking almost every other belief system known today -- not the kind of attitude you'd expect from enlightened writers. On top of all, the system they put together is a highly complicated one.

Neo Tantra
Tantra is a specific system of Yoga which teaches the raising of the kundalini-s'akti through ecstatic experience, self-deification, ritual, and sexual union.

Gavin and Yvonne Frost, Elder Initiates in a Welsh Tradition of Witchcraft, and founders of the Church and School of Wica, show information on their own adapted form of Tantric ritual, and make it available to the West.

It also contains a section by Gay Astrologer and Witch, Glenn Malec, about adapting the Tantric rituals for same sex partners.

Sick!
I thought this book was the most disturbing book I've ever read. I'm ashamed to own it. The teachings within are sick and twisted. It has nothing to do with Wicca. It has everything to do with perversion and is an insult to Wiccan spirituality!

Shocking!!!
Please read the review of this book found at http://www.geocities.com/paul49200/goodwitch.html
It takes bits of the text and shows exactly what the Frosts are up to. Despicable.

Do not bother
Please do not bother with this book. Aside from the obvious wiccan lifestyle descriptions this book is an advertisement for their school.
