Sing a Whale Song
This is one of my all time favorites. I have gotten this book and cassette out of our public library so many times it is hard to keep count. As a part-time science teacher, amteur musician and full-time mother of three I recommend this book and music to any child, parent or teacher!!! My only concern is this; if so many people love this book, why is it so hard to get?

Sing a Whale Song makes my child's heart sing!
"Sing a Whale Song" is a wonderful book and accompanying audio tape, describing one boy's magical journey into the ocean with a gray humpback whale. Once in the ocean, the boy sees the wonderful -- and tragic -- lessons to be learned from the sea. He is sent back to teach people "A Whale Song" so they can learn to preserve the beauty of the ocean. The songs are catchy and environmentally friendly, and made me and my son feel great. I'd recommend this book for 4 - 8 year olds with an interest in the ocean and ecology.

Like finding an old dusty diary in an ancient sea trunk...
I found this book to be a facinating treasure of information from ships which sailed over 150 years ago to observations of island natives, all reflected in the actual words of this "Journal". Daily entries of locations, temperatures longitude, lattitude, wind, observations, personal notations and more make this a great addition to any collection. A few errors in the illustration's pagination noted in an errata do not detract from the quality of this book. Great evening reading for lovers of sailing, history or first-hand accounts/diaries. I like this very much and highly recommend it.

Managing Public Expenditure in Australia
Published in Paperback by Allen & Unwin (July, 2001)
Authors: John Wanna, Joanne Kelly, and John Forster
Amazon base price: $29.95

Reform is a continuous process
An excellent book that varies between a chronologised history of budget reform in Australia, and an investigation of contemporary budgeting and budget theory. Interesting reading even if you are not familiar with Australia, but are interested in Government budgeting, or interested in a country with an excellent history of aggregate budget outcomes over the past twenty years.

Though it meanders a bit, it is a good read. The main author is a respected contributor to the field. The book also provides a good political history as major issues and actors of the time period covered are viewed through the prism of public expenditure management, including elections.

BORRRRING.
As my lecturer has told us, this is not a novel. However, the title was very inspiring and I was taking very good care of my book, until I started going thought the chapters, I discocer that it was actual fact boring. The first few chapters reminded me my management courses inded. I would recommend it not to be red, just use the graphs, diagram, and references. Inded, references were much more usefull then the content. The worst, it is too expensive and I regret purchasing it.
