Interesting, but derivative
While the book brings some unavailable stories to light, most are taken from books previously published that were adaptations already. Most unfortunate is a single illustration that is an exact copy of an illustration from an earlier collection of Pacific Legends.

Get this book for the lively, decorative illustrations and the exciting stories carefully re-told for children. A nice way to introduce children to another culture.

An Excellent Way to Acquaint Your Kids With Micronesia
I often used this cultural and fun book with my students in Yap while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer. I found that most of my students were familiar with these classic folk tales of Micronesia.
