I have read a great many stories of the true "shootinest gen'tman" but with the added insight of the author, these stories meant even more to me. Nash Buckingham was a great man and a fantastic outdoor writer. No one I know of loved his family, his friends , or the outdoor life any more than Nash Buckingham. I borrowed this book from a friend and had a tough time putting it down. Great stories from writers who truly love their dogs. A few of the essays are sad, but all of them allow us to share a part of a fellow dog lovers life with his best friend. Definitely a must read.
