Bubba and Trixie
I bought this book for my 3-1/2 year old daughter. She absolutely adores this book. I have read it over and over and she just can't get enough! Some books you dread reading over and over, but this one I don't -- I actually enjoy reading it! I like it because it addresses many different issues, from every day fears to dealing with change, to friendship -- all issues that we deal with on a daily basis. I would highly recommend this book, it was awesome!

A good story nicely illustrated
Bubba, the caterpillar, fears change. Trixie, a ladybug who can't fly befriends Bubba and helps him become less fearful. Bubba takes Trixie flying after his transformation into a butterfly. The story encapsulates how friends help each other, and learn to feel good about themselves in the process.

My daughter loved this book.
Although my 3 year old loves the pictures and the characters in Bubba and Trixie, I know someday she will understand the meaning behind this wonderful story. I loved the story for it's message of being happy with yourself no matter what you look like or your abilities. An excellent story for those dealing with issues about self esteem.

Farming Families Love It!
Cute and witty! I checked this book out at the library to read to my boys and wound up buying it for my grandmother! For all tractor-driving grannies or people who love them, this book is a big hit! I love the recipie in back, too. (Great literature tie-in activity!)

A New Twist on an Old Story!
What would the Brothers Grimm say if they could read this? Could they have predicted a savvy bike-riding "Little Red"; or a Muffin-Loving Wolf; or a liberated, tough-talking Granny, who is also a very good cook? How could they object to such a delightful interpretation of their sometimes gruesome story? Kids love this book, and so do I!

This author has a way with words.
I first purchased this book to familiarize my three year old son about the beach. The more I read this book, the more I liked it. The illustrations are incredible. The author has such a beautiful flow of words. I even used this book to do a lesson presentation in one of my graduate classes. I absolutely cannot wait for the authors next book to be available.

Fun at the Beach.....
What's better than a sun-filled, fun-filled day at the beach. Hearing the sea gulls squawk and playing in the sand. Making a new friend and building a giant sand castle together. You can put seashells on your toes and seaweed in your hair, play in the waves and get sand everywhere. It's fun to eat a picnic lunch on your towel, play catch with a big beach ball, wave at faraway boats and explore the rocks and tidal pools finding starfish and minnows..... Patricia Hubbell has captured those wonderful carefree childhood days in her terrific new picture book and youngsters 3-7 will delight in all the glorious summer fun. Told in lilting rhyme, her joyful text is enhanced by Lisa Campbell Ernst's soft, sun-shiny, expressive illustrations that will transport you to the beach on a perfect summer day even if the snow is falling outside your window. Sea, Sand, Me! is a wonderful addition to your home library and a book children will beg to read again and again.

Is your little one really into saying "hi" or "bye-bye"?
This is a sweet little book with an adorible little bunny. The little bunny rides in his stroller as he and his mommy walk to the bakery. Baby bunny waves "bye-bye" to Daddy as they go and says "hi", to everyone they meet along the way. So if you have a little one that loves to wave and say "hi", and "bye-bye" this is the perfect book! My 18 month old loves it. = )

Fun, simple story
My 3 year-old picked out this book and requested that we read it many, many times. After about twenty readings, I realized the appeal of the stress-free action. The egg rolls and rolls, but in time there is a natural resolution to the problem. There is no bad guy. The egg, like the gingerbread boy, keeps going, but in the end you have a fuzzy chick. As it turns out, my 6 year old is exactly at this reading level. After this book, she felt confident enough to tackle the Little Bear book. The Chick That Wouldn't Hatch was a big hit at our house.

Count With Little Bunny is a fun and interactive book!
Count With Little Bunny has been one of my toddler's favorite books for over a year. The reusable stickers are adorable and also quite durable. Furthermore, the book does facilitate the learning of numbers. And how fun for a toddler to be in control of placing cars, stuffed animals, books, and balls on the appropriate pages. I am actually ordering another copy of this book for myself and I'm also buying one for a friend. A great book!

Another Winner by Lisa Campbell Ernst
As a media specialist, I read this book to 13 classes of first grade students and after each reading, I received comments such as "this is my favorite book ever!" and "please read it again!" Kids go from feeling sympathy for poor, homeless Duke to cheering him on in his quest to win Darla's acceptance.

Moving, perceptive, beautifully written
A beautifully told, moving story of a boy who feels lucky until he finds out one day that his name isn't really Lucky. Full of wry insights into the human heart and psyche, this is a book for parents to enjoy as much as children. And given the tenderness of the relationship between Lucky and his grandfather, this book would make a good present for a boy or girl from a loving grandfather.

Book Review
I liked reading the story and thought that it was interesting. I was able to follow along through-out the story and always new what was going on. It was fun to see how she would be able to keep Clover and not have to sell him. She have to come up with a way to stop her grandma from selling Clover. The story wasn't that long and didn't take forever to finish.
In the story, Nattie has a good luck lamb. His name is Clover. Nattie's grandma wants to sell Clover, because they need money for the winter. Grandma doesn't think that Clover's fur is any good. Nattie doesn't want her to sell her good-luck lamb, so she has to think of a way to keep him. If you read this story, you will find out what happened and if Nattie was able to keep Clover.

Read to Your Child to Improve Bonding and Intellect!
Researchers constantly find that reading to children is valuable in a variety of ways, not least of which are instilling a love of reading and improved reading skills. With better parent-child bonding from reading, your child will also be more emotionally secure and able to relate better to others. Intellectual performance will expand as well. Spending time together watching television fails as a substitute.

To help other parents apply this advice, as a parent of four I consulted an expert, our youngest child, and asked her to share with me her favorite books that were read to her as a young child. Play With Little Bunny was one of her picks.

This book has five scenes with Little Bunny in them. In the first, she is going to build a tower with blocks. In the second, Little Bunny is painting a picture. In the third, she plays dress-up. She also makes music in another scene. She reads a book before she goes to bed in the final one.

Your child is encouraged to help Little Bunny by helping her find her blocks and building with them. Your child also helps Little Bunny get some colors for her painting. When Little Bunny plays dress-up, your child can add her hat and shoes. Your child also helps her get her drum and bells. And your child sings to Little Bunny. Your child also helps Little Bunny find a story and relates one to her.

The stickers are wonderful because they are of see-through plastic, and they stick really well. It is pretty easy for your child to peel them from one spot and move them to another one.

As you can see, this book basically puts your young child in the position of playing the role of older sibling or parent for Little Bunny. Because the stickers can be put anywhere, your child will have endless possibilities of how to use them. My daughter would decide that she wanted to put them all on one page. After she did, she would laugh and laugh.

Through playing a nurturing role, your child can begin to unravel the mysteries of how adults and older siblings think about younger people and animals.

Overcome your stalled thinking about what your child is capable of in terms of coordination, thoughtfulness, and imagination. You'll be glad you did, and your child will love you all the more for it. You'll have a ball helping your child with this book. Learning to read can be a ball with than this book!
