While doing my graduation, for the Operating Systems (OS) topics, this was by far the best learning book and then a reference. It covers a variety of topics including Memory management, task management and scheduling techniques(quite detailed). The language is very easy going and the diagrams help a lot too.

Would like to get a copy now.

Undoubtly this book is monument in the Petri Nets area. Everyone, who wants to work in the asynchronous systems modelling field, MUST READ this book FROM COVER TO COVER.

This book provides the caregiver with simple, easy to understand information on a very complicated, complex subject. The information is easy to access and apply. The examples are excellent! This is a valuable resource for any physician working in a managed care envionment as well as their support staff.

This was the text for my HR class in 2003. I am pursing my Masters. I found the text to have good examples of HR practices however, to be unorganized in fashion. It was not an easy text to follow as it jumps around a lot. It also introduces many ideas and then tells the reader that it will address the idea in a later chapter. This was very distracting. The practice test from the website are very helpful.

As a graduate MBA student using this text in the Fall, 2002 semester, I enjoyed the subject matter covered in the textbook. It opened new points of interest related to Human Resource Management that I have not learned in other business classes.
