Interesting Details Provided
The author of this book claims to have been a piano player for Al Capone. Al often would request him to play Al's favorite song, Roses of Picardy. The author claims to have been taken along to witness the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and provides interesting details of what took place. He claims some of the victims were swearing while others cried because they knew what fate awaited them. He also claims to have been in a barbershop with Capone and Machine Gun Jack McGurn when it was reported that Capone torpedos John Scalise, Albert Anselmi, and Joe Guinta were killed. He reports that Capone was upset with this while McGurn told him it had to be done. He exonerated Capone who it is often claimed clubbed the trio to death with a baseball bat following a party in nearby Hammond, Indiana. Interesting details are provided in this book, and we as readers are left to decide whether or not they are true.
brilliant author, brilliant book
Bill Emblom says that the author claims to have seen and been with Capone. Bill Emblom should have read the book more carefully. The author does not claim that, instead, he interviewed someone who experienced those things, which, if I may point out, are factual. This book gets 6 stars from me.
The Truth
Neil Elliott, I must say, has again written another brilliant book. I don't know how he does it, but this is what I do know: His Capone book led me to become what I am. I am a historian and the National Museum of Literature. I find the book that Mr. Elliott wrote about Capone to be very real, and I found that it was all factual.
This is a private word for men: It takes balls to write something as tricky as that. Capone was a very controversial man. Jack Woodford has become a cult figure. Mr. Elliott has written the truth, and I find that very inspiring

Epistle liberation theology
Dr. Elliott makes a wonderful argument for a new reading of Paul. He looks past the screen of history (especially Luther's views on Paul) and allows the context of the 1st century Mediterean world shape the possible intentions of the Apostle. While this book presents solid arguments of history and language criticism, Elliot's conclusions are liberal and might upset people with closed minds.

Neil Elliott had a tremendous impact on me. His theories are so knowledgable, his writing so creative and adept; it is as if he was born a writer, and that I believe. His book forced me to think about such things that one does not know how to put together. I have never been so compelled to shout aloud, "I know! I know!" Elliott has truly given my writing more impact. I now feel confident that I can write books that are serious and rare. Although I probably will never have the outstanding and strong talent that Mr. Elliott has, I am proud to say that I spoke with him at an autograph signing, gave him a book of mine, and was well rewarded with a smile and a reply to me that made my day, "I'll call you about this." I gave Mr. Elliott my number, and soon after, he gave me a ring.
Often, I call him to ask him for advice. One of his feelings has always been, "You don't need a thesaurus, I never did. If you wake up in the morning and want to be a writer, the words will pour out of you like seeds, and you won't have any problems writing."
Concluding, I am sure that Mr. Elliott would not mind if I gave out his number. Look for his number on a further review, because as of yet, I have not asked his permission to post it online.
Thank you,
Thomas D. Frehoffer
