Great Collection of Advice
It's not a step by step guide to how to do it, but more a collection of interesting articles on many aspects of market farming. I love all the conflicting ideas that leads one to believe there is no one way to do this. But you should do it and have fun and hopefully make some money!

Very pleased
As a person who is looking towards expanding my garden, I was looking for a kind of a 'how to' book. While the book does contain 'testimonials,' it is contains a great deal of information on getting your produce to market. The types of ideas that I had not considered prior to reading the book. The book reads fast and concerns itself primarily with marketing your produce. If you're looking for primer on marketing your produce, this is an excellent first choice.

This is our bible
We just started into vegetable farming and the hints and tips in this book are great! They are designed for those just starting into the business with both what not and what to do. We have found great advice in this book, detailed harvesting and storage information that I had not even thought ahead to, as well as great business advice. I highly recommend this to anyone starting a market garden.

I found it verry touching. Her writing goes threw yr hrt&soul
I was suprised that I could understand her poetry. She rights in a way that is easy to understant.

It immediatly touched me in so many ways.
I read it Three times and in many ways realized that she was saying with different words some of the very thoughts, emotions and feelings that inspire me to write. I particularly liked her forward. She explains what she does in very consise terms, terms that I have not been able to explain myself. I'm reduced to tears. Poetry is a wonderful expression of the innermost, the trick is to be able to convey to others so that they understand, the simplest or most complex notions in as few words as possible. She seems to have attained that sensitivity very aptly. I throughly enjoyed this book and look forward to more of her work in the future.

original, heartfelt reflections from a beautiful artist
The big surprise in this, Lady Lee Andrew's third anthology, is the original illustrations which she provided to accompany the text. Never have the time worn subjects of life, loss, love and family been so delicately carressed.

grouping poems to explain more about poetry
Kennedy informs students about the purposes for poetry by the categories he's formed. The selections are appropriate for elementary school children and is an instructive collection for serious poetry reading for kids 7-13.

Kennedy's collection is accessible, informative and a pleasure to read and mull over.

Great Collection!
As a teacher- I found this book to an incredible assest to have in the clasroom. This is a very exemplary eclectic collection. It contains a wide variety of poem forms, styles, and authors. Usefully organized into category chapters, it easy to find a poem relating to a topic. The book is organized into useful sections that have equally as useful subcategories. These divisions make it easy to use these poems during a unit on poetry. The wide variety of types of poems in the book also is useful to assimilate these poems into the curriculum, either as a transitional piece or within a topic discussion. The students LOVE hearing these poems!

As the book title states, this is an excellent resource .
This book has innovative recipies for the diabetic and her friends, that are clever and tasty enough to be, actually, something you would want to prepare and eat. Ms. Meirelles is a Diabetic Educator. She gives witty and very entertaining talks to diabetic support groups in and around Oregon. Her husband is her assistant. She educates the the non-diabetic away from many of the fears and false impressions about being diabetic. She shows us how to let the diabetic decide for herself what and when she can eat, because she is capable of doing so. We diabetics get weary of others getting on our case! Her recipie books are the result taste testing of the recipies by herself and her husband . She claims she publishes only the ones he likes!

Of impeccable and ground breaking scholarship
The collaborative effort of cultural anthropologist Molly Lee (Curator of Ethnology at the University of Alaska Museum and Professor of Anthropology, University of Alaska - Fairbanks) and Alaskan geoarcheology, and paleoindian prehistory expert Gregory A. Reinhardt, Eskimo Architecture: Dwelling And Structure In The Early Historic Period is a unique and seminal work of impeccable and ground breaking scholarship. Profusely illustrated, the informed and informative text covers Eskimo winter houses, transitional dwellings, summer dwellings, special-use structures, as well as associated rituals and beliefs organized in regional contexts which include Greenland; the Central Arctic; Northwest Arctic and Bering Strait; and Southwest Alaska, Bering Sea, Siberia, and Gulf of Alaska. Enhanced with a final chapter of "Summary and Conclusions", (as well as an Appendix, References, Names Index, and Subject Index), Eskimo Architecture is a unique and exceptionally welcome contribution to Native American Studies reference collections in general, and Eskimo Cultural Studies reading lists in particular.

Dead Man Writing
This book is edited by Jane Officer and contains letters written by Andrew Lee Jones - the last man to die in Louisiana's electric chair. The book slowly reveals the character and thoughts of a young inmate waiting to die but hoping that his appeals will be successful. It is a one-sided correspondence because Jane Officer's letters to Andrew were lost around the time of his execution. However, we can easily deduce the nature of what she had written to Andrew from his comments on her letters.

One of the peculiar effects of the death penalty is to make those scheduled to die surprisingly articulate. Dr Johnson correctly observed that contemplation of one's death "composes a man's mind wonderfully". Despite his limited intelligence and rudimentary education, Andrew's letters to Jane set out the hopes and fears of a condemned man in a very direct and moving way.

They make an inlikely pair of correspondents - a widowed English grade school teacher and a poorly educated black boy from the bayou. Andrew's naive and dreamy view of England is sharp counterpoint to the harsh day-to-day reality of life on death row in Angola Prison.

As the end approaches, the reader would have to have a heart of stone not to find some compassion for Andrew as his hopes alternately are buoyed up only to be crushed as appeals are rejected and fresh execution dates set. This is a moving book and well worth reading for its inside view of what it is like to be warehoused for death.

Outstanding storytelling
Extremely colorful book about a wild character, Rosiebelle Lee. Based on Andrews' grandmother's life as a woman of color whooping it up in the segregated south. Highly recommended even if you don't normally read books from this genre.

Know the Facts of W omen Pioneers
Everyone (especially a Woman of God) should read this book! These (3) women were wonderously made to do The Lord's work against all odds!
Their adventures (although obviously enhanced in grammar)and the history alone is enough. The power just leaps off the pages and you can feel the spirit. I actually had to lay the book down sometime because of the power of the written words that I was receiving into my spirit.
I read the book sometime ago.. and so moved that I'm reading it again!! and maybe even more times in the future. You should "Give" any special sisters you have in your life a copy It's definitely one of those books that you can read more than once and still find JOY!! I rate Higher 5 Stars PLUS PLUS PLUS!!

A Timeless Masterpiece. You MUST Own This Book.
The Velveteen Rabbit will always be one of the most treasured children's books of all time. I've read the book many times at various stages of my childhood, and now that I'm 22-years-old, I find that this timeless story isn't just for children.

This, of course, is the story of a stuffed toy rabbit who seems to have a life of his own. "The Boy" finds the rabbit in his stocking at Christmas. After playing with him for a short time, the rabbit is put away on a shelf where he is to stay for an extended period of time. While on that shelf, he befriends a fellow stuffed toy animal called the Skin Horse. The horse tells the rabbit all about what it means to become "real", and the rabbit is quickly enamored by this aspiration. One day, the rabbit is taken off the shelf and given to the boy who cuddles with him every night and takes him wherever he goes during the day. The rabbit feels truly loved, and is thrilled when the boy tells him that he's real. There's a touching part of the story where the rabbit toy is confronted by two real rabbits who tease him about being just a toy, and he vehemently maintains that he, too, is real because "the boy said so."

I'm not going to give away the ending, but I have to admit that I felt the same lump in my throat while reading this book now as I did when I first read it many years ago. I know of college students who've had to read this book for class. There's a great deal to be learned here about beauty and love. While the story remains the same, the message changes as one grows older.

This book is a definite necessity for anyone's personal library.

My all-time favorite children's book!
The Velveteen Rabbit was (and still is) my favorite children's book. The classic tale of how the little boy's love made the rabbit real is a classic. I had a hard time finding this book, but I finally have it. I am hoping to read it to my future kids and hopefully my kids will read it to their kids. This is a book that anyone from any generation could enjoy. I will always love the Velveteen Rabbit!

A classic tale still going strong.
It has been seventy-seven years since this story was first published and it continues to be popular with each generation. I am amazed at how often I've read it to the children of today. It is the classic story of a stuffed rabbit who, after many years, becomes a real rabbit through love. It is a book that also should be on the shelf of any serious student of children literature.
