I came across this volume at our local BAMM store. I bought the original version of Making a Habit of Success many years ago. It is dog eared and worn out.

Also released as "Success can Be Yours", Dr. Douglas has written a excellent book that will increase your self esteem, self confidence and energy. Dr. Douglas was a great author, but even better speaker. I have several of his cassette tapes as well.

This is actually two books in one. One is How to Make a Habit of Succes and the other How to Win with High Self Esteem.
Some of the sections are about purpose, goals, imagination, confidence, persistance, motivation, burning desire and action.
I thought this was one of the better motivation books I have read. It is an easy to read format, not textbook at all.
He does ask a lot of probing questions.

Dr. Mack Douglas was one of the top motivational speakers during the late 60's and through the early 90's.

I bought this book over 20 years ago. One of Dr. Douglas's popular phrases is: 'the greatest use of life is to so live your live so the use of your life will outlive your live.' Wow! Talk about purpose!

Mack was a powerful speaker and an equally powerful writer. His words will excite and motivate you.

Highly recommend for allserious achievers.

The first time I ever heard of Dr. Mack Douglas was in 1975 at a business seminar & rally for Seyforth Labs, Inc. Dr. Douglas was the keynote speaker. I bought this book and several tapes by Dr. Douglas and have been a fan ever since. Dr. Douglas mixes humor with content. I highly recommend this book and any tapes by Dr. Douglas that you can get your hands on. He was one of the best.

Very good source of information on the genesis of Rastafarianism and it's impact on Jamaica. However it is a little heavy on name dropping, and would have been better if it had more information on the philosophy rather than the biography. The descriptions of the early 'Rasta Camps' was great, but it left me wanting for a description of what was discussed at them. Still I would recommend this book to anyone deeply interested in the 'I'story.

I love this book. It's very insightful and gives a well-rounded historical view of Rastafari. I felt a sense of overstanding of what Rasta elders went through. Naturally, I highly recommend it as an excellent resource.

This text reveals one of the most important aspect of the Rastafari culture : repatriation. The author was one of the jamaican "elders" who participate to the "Mission to Africa" in 1963 with Filmore Alvaranga and Mortimo Planno. The Rasta ideology is closely linked to the Back-To-Africa movement. This text explains the fondamental concept of this carribean way of life.
