one of a kind
This book is invaluable for Westermann fans. This is the first publication to come along that is comprehensive and includes little known works. There are only a few publications on this artist and they are nowhere near as complete as this one. The photos of the works are large, crisp, and show the details in the work. The history on the artist and his life is informative as well. I highly recommend this for those who know Westermanns work and for those unaquainted with it...this book will win you over.

I keep going back to this book!
I have read and tossed out many many books and magazines on Bodybuilding over the years. I only have three books I refer to over and over again, and of the three, this is by far the most comprehensive and easy to understand. I refer to it so often that it is never put away back on the shelf. I don't write reveiws here often, but I owe so much to this book that I felt obligated to let others know how good it is.

A nice user guide for SIMAN, a reasonable book for getting t
Systems Modeling produced this book to learn people more about simulation and SIMAN in particular. The general introduction to simulation seems to be included to hide the commercial goal of the book. The book is a nice form of a user guide for the out dated language SIMAN, but the first three chapters try to hard to add any generic value. A much better book is 'Simulation with Arena' by Kelton. The goal of that book is exactly the same (enlarge sales), but the generic part is of more value also for the not Arena user

Good for SIMAN, not so good for Simulation
Here is the book that we used in Simulation undergrad class. As the title said, using Siman. To me, it's ok for "using SIMAN", but not enough for simulation concept. If you want to use SIMAN, buy this book. If you want to know simulation in details, get "Simulation Modeling and Analysis"(ISBN 0070366985). SIMAN becomes Arena interface now. If you "just" want to use Simulation for your problem using Siman with Arena interface, grasp this book "0075612593". Kelton wrote it with lots of tutorial!

best to learn SIMAN
Even if SIMAN is not used generally in todays world as a simulation tool, companies prefer ARENA. If you think to be well in ARENA, you may want to learn its real phenomenia under this program, which is called as SIMAN, simulation programming languages. I especially recommend this book as an introductory level. (senior in BS or pre-graduate)

Good insights - lacks continuity - falls short
This book has a a few very informative articles/chapters. It virtually covers the entire M&A continuum from deal strategy through post merger integration. It has a fatal flaw however due to its format and that is a lack of consistency from one section to the next. By jumping from one author to another, the reader is subjected to guidance that is often contradicted or not considered a few chapters later by another author. That is why I prefer books offering guidance on the subject from a thoughtleader or practitioner who can walk me through the entire process from beginning to end. I am comforted knowing I am not being plied with theory that will be refuted 30 pages later. The book does include some very learned insights from previous authors of HBR articles, which most of us have read before but fails to include others such as Drs. Mark Feldman, Pat Gaughin, David Greenspan, Mark Clemente and Jac Fitz-Enz who are some of the finest minds and true heavyweights in the fields of culture, process, organizational development, and integration. I know because- as a Harvard alumna and corporate strategist for 20 years - I have worked as an employee alongside some of these M&A pioneers at such firms as AT&T, Lucent, IBM, and Citibank watching them give birth to the M&A scriptures. Each has penned their guidance in other less lofty titles which take the reader the whole way through the M&A experience while sharing successes, failures, theory, and case studies. This book is impressive to put on one's shelf and it does indeed have some very practical applications for today's corporate combinations. Yet the comprehensive guidance offered by these other authors eclipses the magazine-like compilation contained herein. It sorely misses their contributions.

Textbook on the New Testament
The book was very hard for me to read and concentrate on. It takes a very in depth look at the social-historical context, cultural and religious environment, and interpretation of the New Testament. If you are conservative or liberal in your view of the Bible, Perrin will both upset you and satisfy you. He is somewhere in the middle. This book is definately not for the average person, but a real scholar interested in learing everything about the New Testament. While I didn't agree with everything said in the book, I did learn a great deal about 1st century life, which does help in understanding the New Testament.

totally disgusting book,
one star is too much, the book doesn't do anything tern RFK?s legacy. the arguments are false, and the book is boring.
DONT SPEND EVEN ONE CENT ON THIS BOOK.

Trashy, tawdry character assassination
This work seems to pay inglorious homage to a number of souls who held such dislike for RFK that, years after the fact of his horrible, untimely [end of life], they couldn't wait to spew sordid "detail" about the man in the hope of damaging his legacy. He cared about his family, he cared about the less fortunate, he cared about the powerless. He personnified those convictions. No politician on either side of the spectrum has ever succeeded in achieving what he did for a few crazy months in the craziest year of the latter half of the 20th century. We're a poorer society and culture because we were deprived of RFK far too early. Mr. Heyman should be ashamed of himself for writing this.

A Step Above a Tabloid
I bought this book thinking I was adding to my library of Robert Kennedy materials. Instead of being a serious critique or serious historical analysis of his political career, it was little more than a tabloidesque telling of his alleged adulterous affairs. When a person is elected into public office, that person is, in effect, being hired to do a job. That person's private life is not being hired. I see no real purpose in disclosing these alleged affairs and see nothing useful or constructive in this. If the author's purpose was to discredit the work of Robert Kennedy or trivialize him personally, he did not succeed. I have always believed Robert Kennedy was a man of strong character, a hard worker, sincere in his efforts and committed to his visions. I was really hoping for a serious portrayal of the man who would be president. Instead, I get what can most gently be described as "adult entertainment for those at the tabloid level." It really was a big disappointment.
