Start Your Journey For Success!!!
I read this book last October. It was the first self-help resource of any kind that I used. Since then I have read about 10 other personal success books, listened to over 10 different audio tape programs, surfed hundreds of personal growth websites, and I'm currently participating in the Centerpointe, The End Program. Anyway, Robin Sharma's book inspired me to grow and start my journey for success. The 30 day program provides interaction with the reader. It will introduce you to various ideas and techniques that really work. Some of these techniques are meditation, breathing, focussing, goal setting, and journal writing. Feel free to contact me about personal growth.

excellent
I found MegaLiving to a be an easy read jammed with very useful information on self-improvement

This book is a great, detailed description of the last days of the Third Reich. The coverage of the last days with Hitler is as good as "The Bunker". What is not commonly known is that the last fighting in Germany was some of the hardest fought of the whole war, the German war machine was against the wall and the best was expected from its troops. The details of the troops in the filed followed up with details form the men in charge were really well put together. This moved very well into the Yalta conference and the impressions the leaders there had which differed somewhat from the men in the field. This is just and all around great book, full of wonderful stories and an arm load of detail. If you are interested in the part of the war then you should buy this book.

WHAT A VISION!
I stumbled upon this book while touring the MCA in Chicago last month. I was very suprised. Not only had i never heard of Robin & Lucienne Day, but I didnt even know Britain had a real modernism movement that could have spawned these two pioneers. It was amazing to me especially because of the parallels with Charles & Ray Eames. In both cases the women (Lucienne Day & Ray Eames) were the more playful and abstract thinkers, often using their vision to tackle fabric design, textiles, sculpture, home accessories. The men (Robin Day & Charles Eames), often inspired by their wives' intuitive and playful sense of design, used their engineering knowledge and a keen sense of the modern aesthetic to change how the 20th Century viewed furniture design. Along with the American and other European design modernists, the Day's also began to experiment in bold and minimal uses of basic materials, such as plywood, aluminum, steel, fiberglass, and plastics. Their early designs from the late 1930s/early 1940s are some of the most startling and beautiful pieces of furniture I've seen, easily comparing to many other minimalists such as Eames and George Nelson, particularly. They were also one of the first designers of compatible storage units (a la Eames/Nelson), which helped to revolutionize living rooms all over Europe. Upon fingering through the book, it is easy to tell that all of the designers of the time were aware of each others work, as many pieces of Lucienne and Robin Day look very similar to other designers of the time. But I think that kind of mutual admiration was one of the reasons that period of design (1930s-1960s) was so important. It helped to further the ideas and aesthtics of the modernism movement into daily life, the middle class, and the history books. Check out Lucienne Day's textile designs especially close...you will see how much her designs impacted the funky 1950s fabrics that were in every post-war home in the US. Some of them are really out there, and some are just really minimal and beautiful. If you are at all interested in mid-century design, this book is a MUST. It provides a more global understanding of how design impacted society in the mid-century, and how many of these modernists are regaining their influence after all these years.

Warm and Fuzzy
Starting school brings about many new emotions in children. Will You Come Back for Me? by Ann Tompert addresses a child's fear and anxiety about being separated from mom. The child in this story is dispondent after mother leaves and just watches for her return. The mother calms the child and tells her she is leaving her heart with the child and will surely return to her. She crafts a heart for the child to carry with her as a reminder. The child then makes new friends at school, knowing her mother will return. An excellent, feel-good, warm and fuzzy book. I would recommend reading it to any child who is beginning preschool or daycare, or any child who is having trouble separating from mom.

Nicely printed score
This complete musical score to one of the greatest works of art by mankind comes in quality paper and print that I find quite satisfying. The lack of an English translation is no problem for me personally, because I have separate libretti with translations I can refer to when needed, and I use this book when I want to follow the musical score and sing along with the original Italian verses. One disappointment is that the German verses are in normal print, directly underneath the musical score, while the original Italian is in italics and under the German (therefore harder to read and follow), almost as if the book is intended more for people who want to follow the German, not the Italian. Since the opera is originally in Italian, it makes more sense to me that the German text and Italian text should be switched in terms of location and font. Nevertheless, I'm highly satisfied with the overall quality of this book, and it is definitely one of my favorite books within my music-related library.

Le nozze di Figaro: score one for Mozart
Le nozze di Figaro is one of Mozart's comic opera masterpieces which helped combine the two genres of Italian opera, buffa (comic) and seria (serious) through superb characterization and well-crafted ensemble pieces. This score is great to have if you, like me, love Mozart and his work, and wish to study in depth. Dover Scores are sturdy, so they are good for the music student who will need to use them frequently. They always reprint the music clearly and it is very easy to follow. This particular edition also provides a helpful plot synopsis and background information to Figaro. However, for those who like to have a translation, beware. The libretto is in Italian and German, but not in English. I like the idea of including German, as this opera enjoyed immense popularity in this translation, not to mention the fact that it is the mother tongue of the composer. Looking for a great opera score? You won't go wrong with Le nozze di Figaro.

One of the best Figaro orchestral score ever!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's comic masterpiece "The Marriage of Figaro" has always been one of the best loved and studied operas today. With a bubbling plot and beautiful music, this opera is sure to delight classical and opera music lovers whether you are just a beginner or a die hard classical fan. However, full orchestral scores, particularly opera scores, have always hard to come by and when they do, the price is often too steep. Now Dover publications makes available the COMPLETE orchestral score of this fabulous opera with an affordable price. As with other Dover scores, this one is a reprint of an older publishing house, Carl Frederich Peters of Leipzig, which means that other than the contents, which Dover translated into English, everything in this score is German and /or Italian ( libretto and stage directions ). However, the beautiful, neat and clear engraving of the score more than makes up for this. The full score would probably be too bulky for opera singers, but it is an indispensable tool for classical music enthusiasts to study and appreciate all the aspects that make up this wonderful comic opera. Buy it! It will make your listening experience all the more enjoyable.

Moving & Interesting Account of the Final Months of WW2
I have been a keen fan of Robin Neillands since reading his books on the Hundred Years War and the War of the Roses. This book was a break from his usual manner of writing, similar in style to Gerald Astor and just as good.

The author covers the final stages of WW2 using accounts of the participants, both military & civilian. From tank drivers, infantryman, pilots and gunners in the fighters & bombers and from every country involved - US, UK, USSR, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, etc.

The narrative flowed along and was easy to read with the accounts from the veterans blending in without interrupting the flow of the story. Numerous B&W photos and maps along with drawings added to the story.

Overall this book offers a different perspective to the War in Europe in those final few months. With the movie 'Saving Private Ryan' generating such interest in this period of history this book should offer many readers an insight to what people suffered and experienced in WW2.

Common Ordinary People - life over death
As an avid reader of both Civil War and World War II material, this book struck me as filled with experiences of ordinary people. Common every day folk, many just telling their story of life and death.

Yet, this book is more than that, it's a remembrance of those that "Have borne the battle", and how they survived to give us a glimpse into the past, through their eyes.

As I opened the cover and began my journey into the past, I was introduced to camp inmates, civilians, soldiers, women and children of all ages. Each riveting me to my seat as I read their story.

This book brings you from the comforts of your living room couch into the thick of battle and returns you safely as you move from chapter to chapter.

Very hard to put down and at times very emotional to read.

Simple, But Big Solutions
If you're stressed out or overwhelmed, I highly recommend this book. It gives you simple, workable solutions that make a HUGE difference.

Only criticism is that parts of it are a bit too "new age-y", but overall, it's very good.

This book makes you think!
When I first starting reading this book, I was like "thats my book, thats my life that she is writing about" I loved her writing and examples and stories that she told from other people's experiences. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in people's behaviors and everyday life.

Your thoughts should work with you, not against you!
I read this book at a very low point in my life, with depression and a variety of physical symptoms related to anxiety. This practical, straightforward book helped me gain some control of racing, negative thoughts (Borysenko calls this type of thinking "awfulizing"). Borysenko's rationale includes the fact that your body can actually help your mind to calm down. She provides simple, gentle stretching/breathing to help this happen. For me, it was most valuable to realize that even if my thoughts/intellect seemed beyond my control, my physiology is the same as all humans. Therefore, breathing/stretching has to affect my body/mind the same way as it does other humans. I kept the book on hand for bad moments, and I found that using the exercises helped me to bypass the downward spiraling thoughts and begin to get centered. She includes theory, psychology, and spirituality which supports the intellect as well. I still needed help after I found this book, but it absolutely put me on a safer, stronger path. I have loaned this book several times, to others in need. There are so many books out there, it's overwhelming. This one is worth it.

Great for cramming, Fantastic as a reference.
I read both the Sams book and the Sybex book for TCP/IP 4. The Sams book is the perfect book for testing. Pay close attention to the tables in the appendix C1-C6. Worth 20 points on the test. The Sams book will also make a better real world reference guide.

Get this book!
Statement #1) I read the TCP/IP for Dummies - I could not grasp TCP/IP at all! Failed the TCP/IP test.
