A REAL page-turner!
I love Star Wars. When I first got into the whole Galaxy of Fear book series, I wasn't sure whether or not I would like it. I ordered it(book 4), not knowing what it was even about! But when I finally DID get around to reading it(which was about a month ago) I had a hard time putting it down each time, because it was soooooo interesting! And as I put it in as my review title: The Nightmare Machine is a real page-turner!

A Fascinating Ending
The ending of this book was so great that it couldn't get any better. On the last 30 pages, I couldn't stop reading. It even started to scare me. The Galaxy of Fear series is a great series that mixes in suspense with the story. I encourage anyone to read this book. It has a great plot, and is easy to read.

nightmare machine
I think this book was a good book. It was exiting and funny. I give it five stars becaus. It was about two people that go to a place called fun world. There is a ride called the nightmare machine. It scans your brain for your worst fear and shows it to but they find a few bugs in it and your fear comes true! If you liked this book you will like the next book.

Fascinating study of whales and the whaling industry
For nature lovers, the descriptions of whaling practices may be difficult and painful to read. But, if you are intersted in maritime history, this book has a whole lot to offer. Ellis has several 'interludes' throughout the book that describe life aboard a whaling ship in addition to some amazing stories of shipwrecks and mutiny on the high seas. One would think that the whaling industry had hit it's peak in the late 19th and early 20th century. But the sad truth is that it wasn't until the mid 20th century that whaling hit it's peak. The later chapters in the book describe the 'modern' whaling practices. These chapters tell the saddest tales of men and whales. The pictures of 'factory' ships used for whaling clearly illustrate the brutality and butchery of the modern whaling industry. It is profoundly sad to think that the brunt of the human attack on whales occured so recently. Several times, Ellis mentions that certain populations of whales may be depleted to such an extent that they may never recover. But, he leaves us with hope at the end of the book with a good discussion on the international moratorium on whaling.

A good introduction
This book can't be considered an excellent one because it does not show everything in electric circuits theory. It misses, for example, the graphs theory, which is important in solving big circuits. But it explains in a very clear and organized way some important concepts like complex power and response of energy storage elements. It also brings reviews of useful mathematical and computational tools. The strategy the authors use to solve challenging problems in the end of each chapter is a very instructive one. Talking briefly, this book is very good in doing that its title tells: giving a good introduction to electric circuits.

Great
This book is great for smart people, but it's apparently too much for simple minded morons to comprehend. If you are a smart math and science person - this book is worthy of your superior
abilities. If you are a dumb jock or an wannabe intellectual, go back to elementary school and play with yourself some more.

One of the Most complete books on the subject
The reason why I consider this book to be one of the most complete books on electrical circuits analysis is because the author combines real life with the mathematical modelling, giving you a complete idea with what you're handling. I definetely believe that this is a book for persons which have a solid foundations in physics and mathematics. It also gives an introduction to the tools that are use in the design of linear control systems and a brief introduction to filter theory and active network analysis methods.
