The book is great . I really liked it and read it twice.
I do a lot of reading and there is some of the information that I have read before, but the way you tie it into sports, or the way you say it, makes it easier to understand and more important, apply to my life. I have been a person to set goals for most of my professional career. Your chapter on goal setting really lit up my world. I have always set goals based on accomplishments, not always set with me in control. Since I read your book, my goals are now set so that I am in control of them. Thanks a whole bunch for that. The book is great. You write so people like me can understand it and can make some great use of it.

Psychology reference manual -- you will want to reread it!
Dr. Davis uses analogies and terminology that are easily understandable, and, therefore, easily applicable. Her ability to communicate her ideas into simple explanations makes this book an easy read that doesn't become overwhelming with overemphasis on psychoanalysis. Instead, she cites examples that relay her message and can be utilized in all areas of life. This book is a reference manual that would be frequently used over a period time and applicable to a gamut of situations and circumstances. It's terrific!

Highly motivational and easy to apply
Dr. Davis provides a self improvement guide that "normal" people can actually use to experience immediate results. An extrememly friendly read that is full of artistic visualization which applies to us all and helps us to clearly understand why we are who we are. I have read many self improvement and "how to" type books. High Performance Thinking is by far the very best. Read it for both your professional and personal life. I read the entire book in one setting (a first in my 47 years on this Earth).
