A must read book for every woman, because Jane Addams was truly an American woman.

This is a story about a computer programmer traveling in post-war rural Argentina after his bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere. He, being an interesting character himself interacts with many interesting (sometimes weird) people including a rich man looking for an unexisting casino, a fortuneteller, crooked and dangerous priests and an army official who is looking for his lost army thinking they are still at war. It is a captivating story, descriptive and very well written including elements of black humor.
It is one of those books that you can read over and over again.

Recommended to everyone.

This movie deserves its R rating. It is filled with vulgar/obscene language that was not in the book. The movie producers thus ruined a perfectly good story for young teens.

alright ladies, im srry but i think u guys are taking this movie way too seriously it not like we dont use the words they say in the movie and its not like ur kids dont see or know about wat happens in the movie calm down and just relax

Don't you just LOVE the way EVERY mid-1980s film featured an MTV music-video interlude, absolutely regardless of whether it was appropriate -- and even if it had no place at all in the flick, as happened with this one? Heck, if they had filmed "Pearl Harbor" in 1985, it would have had a music video concoction of some sort.
