I, too, am searching for another copy of this classic from my childhood. I read my 30-year-old copy to our first child almost every day for a year until the back cover fell off. The rhyme and rhythm of the writing and the colorful illustrations keep children's attention and help them to memorize each letter verse.

This is no ordinary abc's/123's book. The vibrant, original and funny illustrations and rhymes put your basic "A is for Apple" material to shame. We lost all our beloved childhood books in a basement flood so I have not seen a copy of this particular book for a jillion years...and yet, my memory of the fantastic rhymes and pictures remains clear. As a surprise for my sisters, I have found copies of just about all our favorite titles -- Fun with ABC and 123 is the last one on my list and it has been the most difficult book of the bunch to replace. I hope Amazon.com will be my hero and find me a copy of this extraordinary alphabet/ counting book.
