It's built just right for folks heading out on their own --not too serious, not too funny, not to difficult to read, and not to simple. It is full of great advice and points for the budding entrepreneur. ....

I'm happy to provide this review of what I believe to be a singularly useful book for those workers who, as I, work alone. When entering a bookstore, I always head straight for the Business section, and then to those books meant for the entrepreneur. I picked up "Working Alone," began thumbing through it, and found myself engrossed in the various short passages; each one proferring a new and different example or lesson or point-of-view directly aimed at someone such as myself. I bought the book, of course, and do highly recommend it as a very helpful start-point for any solo worker.

I've been searching for a short, concise, easy-to-read yet useful book aimed at those such as me who are about to start their own consultantships. Not an easy task, I can tell you. I found "Working Alone" cited elsewhere on the web as a "must-read," so I went looking for it. No big words and no B.S. This book fits the bill, to a tee. Lots of practical advice, given without the down-your-nose approach used by most "gurus" in the field. A definite must-read for anyone in business alone.
