Good Introduction to English Language Bible History
This is the perfect book with which to begin a study of Bible translations. A good source book for High School or even some Middle-Schoolers; not in-depth enough for use on a collegiate level. Indexed with bibliography. I wished for larger magnification of some of the early Bible artwork. The author did glance upon the some of the symbolism of the artwork used in the early Bibles--but this is exactly what this book is meant to do: whet the appetites of young scholars. "Words that Changed History" is a good series of books for small school libraries which have a limited amount of "primary material" on hand.

For Any Girl with a Scope of Imagination~
I have wanted to read Anne of Green Gables for so long and finally did. Why did I wait?? I wish I would have read this book years ago. This is one of the best books I have ever read. Whether you are a child or adult you won't be able to help falling in love with Anne of Green Gables. This young Orphan is mistakenly sent to the home of brother and sister Matthew and Marilla. What they wanted was a boy to help around the house as they were getting older. What they got was a delightful little girl who warmed their hearts and touched their souls. Anne gets into all kinds of hijinks throughout the novel that will make you laugh with her and cry with her. Her imagination is unmatched. She is so insightful that you will find it impossible not to relate to her. Follow Anne through her escapades of learning what it is like to be wanted and loved by parents, finding her place in a strange school, and finally getting to have a bosom buddy..someone she can truly call a friend and share life's ups and downs with. As Anne sets one ambition after another for herself, you'll be cheering for her success. This would be a great book to read on your own or along with a child. When you're finished, Anne will feel like your own personal bosum buddy. This book is one you'll adore long after it's over.

Children's Literature at it's height
A few weeks ago, I got really sick of today's children's literature. I had read enough mysteries and trashy books about romance to last me a lifetime. So I wanted something else to read, something well-written with a good plot and lifelike characters. I had to look no further than the first book I picked up- Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery.

Anne of Green Gables is the first book in the Anne of Green Gables series. It takes place, as most of L. M. Montgomery's books do, on Prince Edward Island in Canada. This particular story takes place in the town of Avonlea. It follows young Anne Shirley, an orphan brought to Green Gables to help Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert on their farm. Much to Anne's dismay, Marilla tells her that they wanted a boy to help around the farm, not a girl. However, Marilla changes her mind and decides to keep the dynamic young girl who would become Anne of Green Gables.

This novel is incredibly written, with well-developed characters and an intricate plot. I absolutely loved it. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great example of children's literature at its height.

So wonderful it brought tears to my eyes
I have read many books in my lifetime, and I must say, without a doubt, this is my favorite. When Mathew Cuthbert goes to pick up his and his sister's, Marilla Cuthbert, adopted child, he finds out she is a girl. They consider not keeping her, but soon they decide that she can stay a Green Gables. Marilla slowly loves the imaginitive high spirited girl more and more each day. Anne encounters many adventures from the age of 11 to 16. This book was so good, I found my heart bursting with joy. I would reccomend this to any girls and women. I loved it!

-12.75 to -10.75 in 2 1/2 months!
I started doing these eye exercises on June 1, 2000. After a week of very gently doing the recommended progressive myopia booster sequence listed in the book, I was unable to wear my strongest power contacts and glasses. It HURT to put them on. So out came my 1994 contacts and glasses. They weren't strong enough, but at least it didn't hurt to wear them.

After doing some (not all) of the eye exercises in this book for 2 1/2 months I finally went in to see the optomitrist. The results of the eye exercises were a definite improvement; from -12.75 in the right eye to a -10.75, and -12 in the left eye to -9.75. And this after only doing some of the exercises from this book a half an hour 3 days a week. I can hardly wait to see what happens when I do more of the exercise techniques! Makes me wonder what kind of eyesight I would have had if my eye doctor had prescribed eye exercises at age 8 instead of thick glasses.

My only criticism about this book is that explanation of how and why the exercises work would be nice.

If you are truly interested in improving your vision, buy this book and use it. It works.

This book will revolutionize the optometry industry, if read
This book is very outspoken about the inadequate practices that's going on in the optometry industry. Eye doctors do not want people to know what you will learn in this book, for they fear that they will go out of business. Shortsighted thinking.

I've already recommended this book to over 20 people among families and friends. One friend, after only 2 weeks of doing the exercises, noticed that he was able to read the fine print on the shampoo bottle while showering. Excited, he went to his eye doctor for a re-examination. The doctor said that there was a dramatic reduction of the myopic state of his eye. His new prescription was reduced by .75 in both eyes. The left was reduced from -3.00 to -2.25 and the right eye was reduced from -2.50 to -1.75.

In my case, after 3 months of exercises, my objective myopic measurement reduced from -2.25 in the left eye to -1, and -2.00 in the right eye to -1.

When I discovered vision therapy I was outraged, because I particularly asked my eye doctor on several occasions if there's anything that he can recommend that will prevent my eyes from getting worse, and he said "No". That is the same doctor I went back to for a re-examination because I wanted to confront him with the issue. He attempted to give me a referral to a behavioral optometrist, but I told him that I wanted him to examine my eyes to see the improvement I got by using the AVI Method, the Bates Method, and the Janet Goodrich Methods. While examining my eyes, he admitted that my vision had improved significantly to 20/70. It was about 20/400 progressing to 20/800.

You'll never regret reading this book. If you use glasses or know ANYONE who uses glasses, please tell about this book. People should not have to pay to go blind or to be kept in ignorance. Doctors are here to help us get better nor worse. This book helps your vision get better.

Finally, direct ALL of your friends and relatives to a behavioral optometrist. They are the ones who deserve to be paid, because they are trying to get you off glasses not hooked on it.

This is not the end! When I get my vision back to 20/20 there's going to be a big noise in the land regarding the practice of optometry. I will help the doctors who wrote this book tell the whole world the truth about the practice of traditional optometrist and the alternative methods available

The Best Book ever on Eye Care!
This is the best book ever on how to improve your eyesight. The book is concise and easy to read. "Talking about an eye opener!" If you are serious about getting rid of your glasses, this book is a must! I recently had an eye exam after only two weeks of doing the recommended eye exercises. The results were; the right eye from -3.00 D to -2.00 D and the left eye from -3.25 D to -2.50 D. "I will be for ever grateful to the authors of this Book!".
