A good American Diaries book.
Thirteen-year-old Amelina, who is Cajun, is an orphan. Since she was eight she has lived with her uncle on his small house on the bayou. But now it's 1863, the Civil War is creeping closer to Bayou Grand Coeur, and Amelina discovers a hurt Yankee. Helping him will risk her own life. Can she do what is right? I enjoyed this book. It was very exciting and historically accurate

A great cookbook and a fun read
This unique combination of travel and food is a delight to read and the recipes are easy and work. I already use many of the recipes on a regular basis, a mark of a good recipe!

Whop Biscuits & Fried Apple Pie
A terrific title and a terrific book! I love it. The flavor of the Smoky Mountains and its artisans has been captured by the author through recipes, stories and memories in this heartwarming and charming cookbook. I feel like getting in my car and driving straight to Gatlinburg, but since I can't, I guess I'll have to settle for making one or two of the recipes! I think I'll try Aunt Fanny's Baked Squash. Should go great with Eleanor's recipe for Whop Biscuits!

Cooks and Non-Cooks alike will love this book!
I found myself laughing aloud at the humorous personal anecdotes of the craftspeople who contributed their favorite recipes and marveling at their stories of how and why they became members of the crafting community. I would have enjoyed reading the book for its humor alone, even without all the great recipes.

The Ceramic Design Book
Basically the subtitle says it all. This beautifully illustrated book consists entirely of photos and captions. But, oh my god, what an incredible collection of mind-expanding work. Each piece is perfectly crafted, fresh, and often whimsical. My eyes just got bigger and bigger with amazement as I flipped through this book for the first time. Covering the full range of the best in modern ceramics, this book has hundreds of full color photos to inspire beginners and professionals alike. There are large architectural pieces, thrown pots, handbuilt functional and decorative wares, low fired, pit fired, high fired and raku wonders - something to delight everyone.

Beatiful & imaginative artwork to inspire
This is a beautiful book with many unique & imaginative ceramic designs that will provide inspiration for ceramic artists of all levels. It also makes a great gift or a delightful coffee table book for any art lover

The book is in full-color displaying one to three art pieces per page. Both handbuilt & wheel-thrown ceramics are shown. Captions provide the artist's name, date completed, & size as well as materials & techniques used.

Some of my favorite pieces includes a raku crackle jar & carved tree tiles. I love both the plate with waves & a teapot, and another with egrets on it. I also enjoyed a hand-built multi-colored teapot.

Several eclectic figures, a humorous bird sculpture, & a huge mosaic-style dragonfly screen also caught my eye. This is an indispensable reference tool packed with great ideas & a must-have book for any serious ceramic artist.

Hello Rainy Days!
Kathy Ross's creative books have my children turning off the television and asking to have craft-time. I enthusiastically agree to an afternoon of crafts with more fun ideas than ever before. Her projects fit in well with holidays, homeschool themes, or just a rainy afternoon, and are great for any parent whose creativity is running dry, or a child whose imagination needs channeling. We checked this book out from the library so many times that now we have decided to buy one of our own. Great ideas for all ages...even Mom!

One of the GREATEST craft books to try with your children.
This book was amazing, especially if you have children. Thisbook has crafts for Autumn, but I like to them any rainy day. It hasreally easy to follow instructions, pictures and tons of family fun.

Family Interaction
This is the sort of fun read and reference which can involve the entire family, keep kid(s) busy, and keep the family pet amused. By using the book as a project, the kids can be involved, take responsibility by planning out their activites, and spend quality time with their pet. And finally, we were able to read the book together instead of turning on the tube! This is one book we keep out for everyone to use!

Fun Stuff = Great Stuff!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed Fun Stuff by Nancy Furstinger. It's easy and fun to read and has a lot of great activities for kids and their dogs (or is it "dogs and their kids"?). We haven't tried all of the activities, of course, and we only tried one of the recipes so far, but it's a book we continue to use and refer back to. We're still working our way through the web sites, which gave us even more information! The "K-911" first-aid kit was a great idea and we now have one safely under our sink. A great book! Highly recommended!

Satisfactory starter ideas-Exclusive product use is imminent
I live in Washington, and spend more time than my husband would like in "Impress", whose owner penned this book.
It is a great book for style and substance..but most of all, starters. The designs are not too complicated for the early - medium crafter, but will require specific tools.

Ms. Perkins has great creativity (or a fabulous design team), which is evident in this book - but the suggestions also utilize several items exclusive to the "Impress" line of stamps and products. This fact wasn't as helpful to the friend I sent it to in Hawaii. She really loved the designs, but was apprehensive about spending so much on products and shipping from the author's web store.

All in all, I do use this book, and add my own sense of personal style to the building blocks she has laid before us in "Stamping with Style". Worth a look. ~*~

All in all, a nice book.
It seems to be a great book for beginners with lots of neat card projects. The book is set out by months of the year and cards you could make that month. The card projects aren't as nice as I was hoping, but they definitely have potential and the instructions are clear and concise. There is even a section at the back of the book that lists stamping resources.

I didn't give it that 5th perfect star because I was hoping the card projects in the book would be nicer and more colourful. I also didn't give it the 5th elusive star because alot of the stamps used in the book are now discontinued and very hard to get a hold of.

Simply great!
I received this book from Amazon just today and was simply thrilled when I browsed through it. I have been rubber stamping for quite sometime now and have wanted to get books with cards that look "professional" (cards that look more like what you buy from stores than those that look like "kid's art"). I find this book to give me the inspiration I need when I want to make a good quality card for someone special. The cards are simple-to-make yet look elegant. A good buy!

Good
This book is easy to read, and gives a lot of good information. It has helped me to be more organized as I work on starting my business, and gives a breakdown of pricing, and even making a workspace. Its handy, and will be a good book to refer to often.

Excellent!
This is a small book that is very informative and doesn't take hours to read. I loved it! I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to start their own home sewing business. Thanks Kathy for writing such a wonderful book!

A Source to Inspiration
I bought this book some months ago, and once I received it I read it. Since then I have read it several times. I just love this book. Kathleen Spike's story inspires me to sew, and actually I am planning to start my own little business, thanks to her. Kathleen Spike started to sew when she was young, and when she had her first baby her former boss asked her to sew something for her. After that she decided to start her own business at home. What inspires me is that this could be me. Kathleen Spike is an ordinary woman who happens to have enough guts to start something on her own. I have always wanted that, and after I read this book I decided to go for it. This is what I want to do in the future, and Kathleen Spike's story will help me all the way. Those days I don't believe I'll ever manage to reach my goal I just read this book once more.

CULT FAVE EPISODE of the classic 1970's series
This episode has become a cult classic! The angels go undercover as prison inmates to uncover a prostitution ring. Among the guests stars of this episode are Lauren Tewes(Julie on Love Boat) and a young Kim Bassinger. But the real treat is seeing cult movie icon MARY WARONOV of "Eating Raoul,","Rock and roll high school" and Andy Warhol fame. Seeing Mary Woronov as a sadistic prison warden is a hoot and any Woronov fan needs to own this episode! (during admission to the prison while the angels are being sprayed down with a cleaner by Maxine: KELLEY(Jaclyn Smith) says to MAXINE(Mary Waronov) "How long has it been sinse you've been sprayed?" MAxine: "Get cute in here deary and you can get hurt!"HILLARIOUS campy dialouge!Besides the guest stars, the episode is top-notch camp at it's peak! This episode is the highest rated of the series(including the re-runs in syndication) and is a MUST for Mary Woronov fans and Charlie's Angels fans!

Super video!
The entire cast was great like always. I liked it so much I purchased it. I could watch it everyday and not get sick of it. I would love to purchase other charlie's Angels videos if I can find them Once again it was a great video.

Charlie's Angels - Angels in Chains
