A Cathartic Experience
'Orphans of the storm' is a collection of short stories dealing with the horror of the forgotten holocaust that followed the partition of the Indian subcontinent. With contributions from such noted writers as Khushwant Singh, Bapsi Sidhwa, Mulk Raj Anand and Khwaja Ahmed Abbas from both sides of the border it gives a terrifying but cathartic glimpse into the lives of people who suffered during the communal riots that reached a civil war like crescendo after India's independence. While some of the authors represented graphically describe the atrocities committed in a way that conveys the disgust they feel, others focus on the emotional and philosophical crisis reached when neighbor turns against neighbor. There is no political debate attempted, just the record of one of the greatest human tragedies of the 20th century. Most of the stories are simple but heart wrenching in their portrayal of a nation at war with itself. Even occasional touches of melodrama cannot spoil what is essentially a very poignant account of a people's madness and subsequent desolation. Some readers may find the graphic brutality of the narratives of rape, murder, and abduction unnerving but this, together with a look into the minds of the victims and perpetrators of this violence is the best way to express the anguish and the misery of the Partition. Even such violent themes are largely handled well and make for some of the most moving stories I have ever read. A fine book with carefully selected stories that cannot fail to both disturb and arouse the pacifist feelings of a reader.

A good book on new business opportunities
The book presents a wide range of business cases as well as scenarios where wireless technology is used or can be used. The author sometimes gets too excited about the potential of the technologies involved but she proves that, at least in some areas, wireless is revolutionizing business, creating business value by providing convenience, mobility, agility and improved data accuracy.

Awesome book! Exciting! Riveting! GET IT!
I probably sound like a paid endorser, but the truth is, this book is fantastic. It's written beautifully, contains riveting stories, and is packed with insights, ideas, trends, and more. It's written for anyone in business ready to cash in on the future. Wireless is the next big trend. This book shows you how to surf it to the bank. Get it. Get it right now. -- Joe Vitale, author of way too many books to list here, ...

Great Book
I hesitated before buying Going Wireless because I didn't want a book about
how wireless works. Then I stumbled on the Newsweek review, read a couple
excerpts on the Going Wireless website and then bought it. My hunch was
right. This book is a real winner by cutting out the "geek speak" and
instead showing me directly how wireless can benefit my business. I highly
recommend it.

Nice - but not great.
When i got this book i was very excited. The pics are very great and i like it to look at them. Unfortunatley they are not enough pics of these women who are the most beautyfull girls.
Denise Rutowski, for example, is wonderfull, alluring and i adore her. This one pic (scroll a little more higher) where you only can see her right side (she puts her arms on a chair and looks to it), is the best pic i ever have seen. A wonderfull face, great hands and hair and excelent biceps/triceps. Fantastic.

Magnificent & inspiring
This book remained on my coffee table for years. I wanted others to see how beautiful feminine muscle could be. The pictures are just magnificent. They are of some of the top female bodybuilders of that time. Today, it seems the sport is taking a turn in a downward direction. The sport is constantly struggling to get the recognition & respect it deserves. This book is an excellent portrayal of "Female Beauty".

The most amazing book of female muscle I can imagine.
I'm a female bodybuilder and I HATE the cheesecake photos of physique women I see in the bodybulding magazines. The pictures in The Women, on the other hand, are artistic and respectful of what these female bodybuilders have achieved. I think Bill Dobbins is to women with muscle what Ansel Adams was to Yosemite, and Dobbins' photos will be the ones people still look at 50 years from now. Okay, I guess I tipped my hand..I really like the book!
