Olga Cossi writes an in-depth up-date on the life of renowned American artist, Edna Hibel. Reproductions of Hibel's creations in many media, including her most recent paintings, graphics, porcelain art, sculpture, and dolls, are beautiful. Makes for inspiring reading, and is a keepsake for years to come.

A young Native American girl finds a needed tie to her ancient culture when she finds and cares for an abondoned Saint Bernard puppy.

I really love this book. This is the story of a bus named Gus who is a model bus. At 7:15 am, on the dot, every morning, Gus the bus picks up students and takes them to Hilltop School. One morning, after picking up all the children and dropping them off at school, the inspector comes to inspect Gus and says "Gus needs new tires". Well Gus gets his new tires, and goes wild. Before the story is over he ends up chasing a dog, galloping with some colts, racing a fire truck and he even tries to fly. The illustrations are playful and cute, and I especially like how Gus goes through the story with "a silly, wide grin across his radiator."

Purchased this after staying at the Peabody Hotel. Story is simple, but was a hit with my young son as a remembrance of the duck march he witnessed. Illustrations are soft and fit the title.

My children loved this book because it was about a real duck. The drawings are splendid, and the story is focused. Wonderful job! I am aghast that the reviewer for The Horn Book would allow personal feelings for the author to color their opinion on this book. Maybe the reviewer should take up writing and illustrating since they feel they can do a better job!

This was a cute story that should have been printed on better quality paper. The cartoon illustrations by Tom Sarmo are funny and match the characters. Makes a good story for classroom reading.
