Compagnon du Soleil by Monique Corriveau is simply the best anticipation Sci-Fi novel that I have ever read. I have read Brave New World and 1984, and I have read many other anticipations, but never did a book transported me like this one. This is a trilogy that needs to make its mark in other languages, since its only version is in French. But I know someone is working on it. Keep hoping!

I'm a 14 year old student in junior high school (french Immersion) and my class read this book in french class. It is a VERY VERY good book. I highly recommend it if you speak french. It's a little bit hard to read, our teacher read it to us and explained it along the way, but the plot is excellent. It's about a boy named matthieu who wanted to turn his life into an adventure and he does. It has a lot of Canadian history in it as well and talk about old Quebec and some the canadian indian tribes (Iroquois, Seskanous)
