There are of course many such guides to Mystery/Crime novels and their authors, and I'm afraid I can't come close to whole-heartedly recommending this one. Part of the problem is the clumsy introductory writing of the editors, but at least genuine practitioners of the craft of crime fictionizing get to have their say, and say it well. Different editorship would have made this book a five-starrer. Oh well.
