Excellent technical book, misleading publisher's blurb
The publisher's statement, cited above, that this focuses on "neuropsychological" issues is wrong. Only a small part does this. The book is the outcome of the June 1999 3rd International Symposium in New York, and contains almost all of the edited talks given there. It is deliberately technical in its approach, and therefore most suitable for physicians, psychologists, and other health care-related professionals who have an interest in Tourette's and its associated disorders. Though costly, I highly recommend it as a "state of the art" publication.

I Use This Book In My Professional Practice
As a mental health therapist, I use this book for one of my groups for Borderline Personality Disorder. The exercises in the book are excellent, and the Group members are able to relate to the book and each other. Excellent book!

Full of Useful Informaion
I am amazed at the amount of information this book provides. Unlike other books on borderline personality disorder, this book has treatment aspect of the disorder. I think other books on the same subject had more descriptions of how bad the disorder is and don't even mention any treatment.

This book has changed my life.
After reading only the first chapter I knew it was for me. I could feel the feelings of Samuel like it was me he was writing about. I always knew I was diagnosised borderline but never knew what it meant, except for seeing things black and white. I never knew where the feelings came from. This book as helped me to understand myself and where my feelings came from. NOW I can truely begin to work on my recovery.

This Book Really Grows On You
This is the perfect coffee table book. Not only will it be a conversation piece, but it will be the life of any party with its humor.

Loaded with "read between the lines" type humor, THE PENIS BOOK proves to be quite insightful, answering some questions that you were always too afraid to ask. From ancient Japanese fertility rituals to modern-day circumcisions, this book has it all. Hilarious pictures, funny captions, and a few entertaining stories grace the pages of this short book. It is very easy to read, and on the whole, the book is designed nicely.

THE PENIS BOOK is done very tastefully, and you can't help but be intrigued by the incredible facts presented. It is a very entertaining read that is sure to make you laugh out loud.

Loved it!
My girlfriend gave me The Penis Book for my 40th birthday and it was the hit of my party. Everybody started passing the book around and reading their favorite section out loud. We all thought the penis man stand-up comic was terrific. The centerfold was a real eye-opener. And the entry about the great circumcision controversy triggered a pro and con debate that went on for over an hour. There's an incredible amount of information in this book. The photos and artwork are a real class act. The Penis Book is a lot more than its title might suggest.

Be the envy of your friends-read The Penis Book.
The Penis Book by Joseph Cohen is clever, amusing, and very informative. It offers everything you wanted to know about the male organ, but may have been afraid to ask. It even includes information you never would have thought to ask! The book's graphic design is sharp and modern, which is appropriate since parts of the book are quite graphic! It's a great book for fun for yourself, and a humorous gift for others--not for the kiddies, though.

Good meditation tool.
I found the Scriptural Readings along with the music very productive in setting a meditative state of mind. The prayers were recited too fast, though. I found that distracting when you are trying to pray meaningfully.

An inspiration to daily devotions
The Rosary on CD is very convenient! The scriptural readings help to make the rosary more meaningful than just doing the prayers alone, and the background music is inspiring.

The format is very convenient. This allows one to do the appropriate Mystery each day. Also, it's easier to do the Rosary while driving when not holding the beads!

Obsolete book
Part 1 (6 chapters) - Absolutely a waste of time, not worth a read. And the code examples are not related to JWSDP.

Part 2 (6 chapters) - Discusses on SOAP, UDDI and WSDL. The code discusses using a Older version of Apache SOAP and Apache Axis. The code needs a complete rewrite.

Part 3 - Discusses on JAXP, JAXB, JAXR, JAXM and JAXRPC. Good introductions but the JAXB chapter is based on DTD (which is obsoleted in the latest specs). JAXM and JAXRPC chapters just reproduces the Sun JWSDP tutorial...not much value addition.

Part 4 - Security, WSFL, WSIF (based on IBM Specs) currently these specs are obsolete no further releases.

It might've been a good book during 2002. The code and content needs an update to the latest specs and SOAP implementations.

A good reference book to get you started.
Just as I stated in the title, it's a great book to start you with. It's written in a clear and precise manner where you could learn the basics of Java Web Services and not be intimidated by it.

Good introduction even to some less talked about topics
It is a good introductory book to web services standards like SOAP, WSDL and UDDI but also goes further and talks about topics like WSFL, WSIF which are not covered by all books on web services but are essential to any real business processes exposed as web services where flow control and service unit(s) choreagraphy is as important as the single unit service request/response. Java specifications relating to web services are also covered like JAXM and JAX-RPC. I wish more examples and code was given, perhaps even a chapter or two, for ebXML which may not be a part of web services standards but still uses SOAP and defines industry standards for business to business collaborations especially dealing with supply chain commerce issues.
I agree with a previous reviewer (John Sfikas) that this book alone isn't exactly an eye opener for experianced professionals who have been dabbling with all the tools mentioned in this book like Apache SOAP, Axis, WSTK, Tomcat, Jetty etc. and know the challenges facing B2B collaborations on the internet quite intimately, but this book combined with "Building Web Services with Java: Making Sense of XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI" will give a much needed practical grounding to start making sophisticated web services in the real world. I highly recommend getting both these books but be prepared to use your brain and further what is presented in these books to deploy web services satisfying your needs. They will certainly not amount to spoon feeding you a near solution to your collaboration problems.

This book was so bad it wouldn't even burn!!
I admit I was intrigued by the title and thought that maybe it would be worth reading. The truth is that none of the boring little sayings in this book hit home. I think that maybe I am too young, or not "swishy" enough for this little book. I see it more for the gay-scarf-wearing-pasty-white crowd that wears polyester pants and lives with mother well into their sixties. So if you are a much older gay man who decorates with doilys and enjoys wine from a milk carton then this book is for you, for the rest...don't bother!!!

The most moving book I have read in years.
I cried and cried and cried when I read this book. It really touched me. A must read for all of us.
