This book was very informitive on the topic of National Defense Education Act. I really liked the fact that Clowse told the reader about the politics to education and the problems presidents have had with congress over higher education. I didn't like the fact that the book was very boring and at some points I felt that Clowse rambled about things that didn't belong in the chapter. Other all i do feel that Clowse did a pretty good job on the topic. I suggest that when looking for information on the education during the Cold War read this book. There aren't a lot of books that deal with the National Defense Education Act (trust me i did a paper on it).
