Clary's prose poems evoke a world of quotidian details and impressionistic feeling. A wonderful addition to any library, and a great book to keep nearby and peer into occasionally, to be reminded of how various and beautiful the world really is.

Evocative, sometimes obscure poems -- but thoroughly grounded in the world, thoroughly and sharply attentive to the tiny motions of the world. If the Pslams had been written in Pasadena, this is what you'd get.

This is one of my favorite books. Kind of a cross between Leonard Cohen's "Book of Mercy" and Lydia Davis's short stories.
